I am only 32 and I am slowing down a lot. If you don't get your ride in a 37avh in Fla next time you are down there, you have an open inviation to LBI for a ride in the first millenium edition 37avh, my friend. :D :D

thunderdan 12-03-2001 12:51 PM

h20,

Well, what did you think? How was your ride? The suspense is killing me? :D :D

Tbikini 12-03-2001 04:28 PM

ThunderDan

The ride in the AT was great....H20 would probably had even more fun if I hadn't been in the boat!!!! (I'm a little scared of that big water!) Still....I got in...held on...and shut up...just like they say and it was a fantastic ride. I saw 70 mph out of the corner of a tightly squeezed shut eye. Pat went easy because of me. After we rode for a while though, I was ready to go back out and open it up to see what she would do. I know H20 will post more...he is just trying to decide now which is his favorite. As far as I'm concerned...It was fantastic! ;)

thunderdan 12-03-2001 06:15 PM

Tbikini,

I am glad that you had a good time. Maybe you could also let us know how the rides compared from your point of view. I know that my wife was concerned that all my reports were from other men. She had a preference when we tested our boats. It might help some other boaters and other boaters better half :D to hear your comparision. Which ride did you like better?
etc. Thanks for letting us know. :D

Roy Schneider 12-03-2001 07:44 PM

WELL, H2O TELL US HOW IT WAS!

Miller 12-03-2001 09:55 PM

H20, you're not being very nice. You should being giving us your feedback already. We're all suffering from weather forced boating withdrawal and you're supposed to be helping us through it. So, step up and give us your thoughts! What color is your Active Thunder going to be???? :D

Jassman 12-03-2001 10:06 PM

Please tell us, I cant take it no more, AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!! To much suspense, dont leave us in the dark. :D

thunderdan 12-03-2001 10:12 PM

He is just not sure which engine package to get. 500 efi's or 575sc. :D,

Jassman 12-03-2001 10:23 PM

I think the better choice would be to get the 500 efi and later on supercharge it, its way more cost effective and powerful. As a matter of fact I think your boat Thunder Dan , would look good with a Procharger, and on mine I will wipplecharge it and see which one fairs out better. By the way I got those prices with installation 4500-Procharger 6400-Whipplecharger slightly more hp 25 and 60 more torque but starts at bottom end, doesnt have to spool up. Just 1900 more per side, tough decision. :p

Miller 12-03-2001 10:51 PM

I thik one of you should get an Eickert 675 and the other the 650hp Sterling Poker Run motor. You could each get a Bravo Shop B-Max or Speedmaster IIIAs and then see which runs faster. I bet with some herring props and some dial-in time, you'd both run 102-104mph, possibly a bit more. Now, wouldn't that be fun? Imagine, you could pass much more powerful machines with some throttle to spare. :D

Miller 12-03-2001 10:56 PM

Reading T-bikini's post inspires another idea. I think Pat should install heart rate monitors at each seat with a display for the driver (imagine what they have in the health clubs on aerobic equipment). That way, when the heart rates go too high, the driver can back down before his or her passengers blow a gasket.

Or, imagine how many stress induced heart attacks and strokes can be avoided. When you're telling your passenger who owns a more expensive boat, finds out how much you paid for a better built, higher quality, faster machine, you'd get warned of to stop rubbing it in before damage is done to your friend's health! :D :D

Jassman 12-03-2001 11:07 PM

Miller, how the hell do you come up with this chit, too much time on your hands, Im going to bed, I bet when I wake up at 5AM youll still be on here, No seriously, I couldnt swing it the other way, to much more money, I tried the Eichert motors, I just couldnt bend over any more, Pat crammed so much chit up there that I almost had to grab my ankles. Good knight, talk to you at 5am. :p :)

Miller 12-03-2001 11:15 PM

Things just come to me. I will admit that it is probably because I have too much time on my hands. Whenever I do go back to work, I'll probably be the least creative person on this board, but until that happens (and I'm hoping it won't be soon) I'll keep brainstorming...lucky PAT!

Ted G 12-03-2001 11:22 PM

You know they are trying to push those auto-defibrillators for home use now. Maybe all AT's ought to have one installed :D Wonder if they have a marine-rated unit???

Gordo 12-04-2001 07:56 AM

Paul,
Dude, you really need to get a job. This vacation is warping your mind. ;)
On the other hand, Sooner or later you're gonna come up with some so wacked out, twisted and off the wall that it will become the new craze of offshoremania and the patent rights will make you millions. :p

baja27 12-04-2001 08:43 AM

H2O what did you think !! Inquiring minds want to know. I can't wait to test one out in Feb. :)

thunderdan 12-04-2001 12:13 PM

Miller,

I hear ya about the motors. I am planning on after my warentee is out I am going to whipple em, whipple em good. :D :D That is why I jumped up to the xr drives. I am hoping because of the step and the efficiency of the hull and how easily it gets up on plane I am not going to have the same failure problems. :D

Heart monitors, that way when the monitor is approaching the breaking point I know when to throw them throttles to the wood, she had a heart attack, I do not know what happened. :D :D

H20 is going to be a Thunder owner. He so wants to join the family and run in our 1st annual Thunder Run. There is no doubt in my mind. He is just playin with our minds. He is just trying to determine colors, engines, how many heart monitors, etc. I think he is going to let us know with in the next day. It seems as Tbikini really like the Thunder.

:D :D

Jassman 12-04-2001 06:59 PM

TBIKINI, you can ride with Sandy and I on our test ride when we pick up our boat, ok , bring H2O, THe goal is 90mph ;) My wife will clue you in, talk to you guys later. See the A.T. family is alot of fun, way more than the other guys :p

Miller 12-04-2001 07:02 PM

So, anyone else feeling a cold wind blowing from H2O's direction? Seems like he isn't going to share his opinion with us. I think we should all inundate his email until he tells us all about his ride.

thunderdan 12-04-2001 08:03 PM

I can feel the wind blowing, man it is cool, and i thought it was just because I had my zipper open, :D you know trollin', :D Anyway I think he is making his final decesion tomorrow and I am sure he will post then. He better make his decesion soon before baja27 takes his slot in line.

H20, what color graphics did you go with. :D

Tbikini, do not worry, your husband will make the right choice. If not my wife and I will always have room for you on our boat. :D

Paul,
are you in for the 12? Do you know how many are planning on attending? :D ;)

ActiveThunder 12-04-2001 08:33 PM

Jassman, We met TBIKINI last weekend and if she's gonna join the 90 MPH Club, she's riding with us! H20warrior is going to be our designated driver. He knows how to get through the "poker run" check points with no trouble from what we understand.... Even if they don't sign up they still party with us!

Jassman 12-04-2001 09:07 PM

How about this, TBIKINI and Sandy on the sunpad, your girlfriend and Active Thunder Todds wife in the back seat, and Halie Berry sitting next to me(oh yeah baby) in the front. Have there fronts painted in latex(you know like we do when we go to New Orleans for MardiGra) swimwear but TBIKINI would say ACTIVE, Sandys would say Thunder and the others would say ASS KICKIN BOATS, now do this for the next poker run or a new demo tape with a helicopter above, or maybe Speedvision would like that. It could read
Join The 90 MPH club
LIFE GETS BETTER AT 90-THE RIDE OF YOUR LIFE

I DONT KNOW JUST A THOUGHT, actually I have been having this reoccuring dream every knight. :D ;) :p

ActiveThunder 12-04-2001 09:17 PM

would this be considered "thunderwear"? Very interesting idea.

thunderdan 12-04-2001 09:18 PM

Jassman,
I am not certian if Active Todds wife would be in, you may want to talk to his new and improved girlfriend though....She is on this board under Consintracy, she is a very cool person. :D :D
And do not be giving away my seat in the 90mph ride that you promised, indian giver... ;) :D
Pat,
H20 and tbikini can ride with me as well. I need all the help I can get with the old poker run police....I always see to have that dark cloud over my head, you know like thyose THUNDERSTORM clouds... :D

ActiveThunder 12-04-2001 09:24 PM

Dan, did Steve send you those pics of the dash panels I had made?

ActiveThunder 12-04-2001 09:31 PM

Jeff, Diane wants to know if "Ass" "Kickin" and "Boats" would be on seperate "bottoms" for this video. Thoughts here? And somebody has to call up Tracy (consintracy) for her opiinion. We are sure she has one. ;)

Jassman 12-04-2001 09:44 PM

Pat, that depends on Diane's bottom, better, I let you make that call, that would be like having Sandys front saying
"The Ride Of Your Life" Bet my ass is grass. :D

Jassman 12-04-2001 09:48 PM

****, I get it now,, too many Crown and Waters :)

thunderdan 12-04-2001 09:55 PM

Pat,
O yeah I got them. They look killer. They really make the dash jump out. Good choice on the color. That dash really looks sweet.

Thunderwear, I like the new addition to the line. I think that we need a fair and impartial judge to view all of the new additions to the Thunderwear line, I elect.... ME...

I also saw the mold for the cabin as well as the seat being constructed. I see the additional supports on those bolsters, I wonder why?????

It is really starting to progress. ;) :D

Jeff,

There you go getting yourself in trouble again. :D

You are not answering me about giving up my ride, careful.... ;) :D

[ 12-04-2001: Message edited by: thunderdan ]

Jassman 12-04-2001 10:00 PM

Thunder Dan, that was a typo, I didnt mean Consintracy,(I know she is fine) I was talking about your wife, better yet have em both, we will have to get rid of the weak link, Halie , sweetheart, Im sorry you've got to go. All resolved, let Jassman take care of all the small details, we got our 5 girls, driver(obviously me) Just need a good boat :p
Oh, I know, how about a 42 Active Thunder :D

And A.T. DAN you can ride in the air conditioned cabin watching your favorite pornos

ActiveThunder 12-04-2001 10:03 PM

Alright JJ, you're off the Crown and h20 for tonight. None the less we are on target here. More ideas tomorrow? Our deadline for our next Powerboat ad is the 11th. Hello?? calling Steve Wilson.... Calling Steve Wilson. What's your next brainstorm? Wait until you see (not!) what's UNFKNBLVBL! How about the next idea? The 90 mph Club! Kinda like the "Mile High Club"!

Jassman 12-04-2001 10:07 PM

Hey Dan, Steve CC your bunk and cabin details, check out the size of them fricken bolts for the seats, and by the way your dash looks awesome, I do like the yellow fade with blue bezzels, it carries the theme all the way through, Oh ,there I go again ,pulling a Christopher Lowe

Jassman 12-04-2001 10:11 PM

Good knight Time for a knight cap. :p

Miller 12-04-2001 10:17 PM

Pat, I can't wait to see this add. Perhaps, I'll throw in and idea or two...I know how you love my brainstorming! :D

JASSMAN - me thinks you're a fun loving guy.

Thunderdan, I am planning on going next week. From what I understand, DJD, Waterspeed, DaveP and Ozzie are all in. I spoke with O'Loughlin and he is going to try and make it. I don't know about anyone else but I'll update you when/if I find out anything. By the way, I may skip the dinner and just meet up later at Lace. Not certain yet about that.

I think Pat and JASSMAN should come up and help modertate this motley crew. Afterall, both guys seem to be very quiet, shy and respectable! ;)

thunderdan 12-04-2001 10:31 PM

Miller,

You are right about the quiet part, and you forgot mild mannered. NOT. I am in for the 12th.

HEY PAT,
It must be something subliminal in the messages in your ads that draws our kind to your boats, oh ya never mind that is because they are ass kickin boats.

Jeff,
We can not forget the spot for Miller, and
you really need to loosen up a bit and start speaking your mind. :D :p Who is in the cabin with me, watching my movies. I may have to bring some ambassaders with me. Miller, maybe you and I can recruite one or some from our trip on the 12th?

thunderdan 12-04-2001 10:53 PM

Can you believe that this whole thread started out with H20 posting for some feedback on the Thunder boats? :D :D :D

Miller 12-04-2001 10:59 PM

What I find remarkable is that this thread probably ranks in the top 20 in terms of total posts and there is no end in site. On top of which, H2O has stopped posting here. Oh, what a wonderful community we have here (and I'm a Baja owner at present, though Pat's talking about changing that SOON).

thunderdan 12-04-2001 11:25 PM

Miller,
Once mine is done and you get behind the wheel of that bad boy, there will be no turning back. :D

h2owarrior 12-04-2001 11:25 PM

Miller, et al, I have not stopped posting. I have every intention of letting everyone know the details :D But I gotta tell you, this has turned into more than I could have ever expected. Pat and Steve are on my top 10 list, you guy's are absolutly the best  I have been thrashing since returning home, got a product launch Wednesday and Thursday but will post my experience (Sonic, Active Thunder and PowerPlay) before the end of the week. I gotta pay for this boat somehow. Should I start a new thread, or go for the record
