Cool

Ran-Dom32

I went to look at Phil's boat on Sunday. Although advertised as excellent condition the boat is a fixer upper. Engine bay was covered in oil. Parts missing from the motors. Trim indicators hanging off the drives. Every seat is cracked or torn. The cuddy headliner was hanging down. The gauges and switches are all faded and ruined. There is holes in the gelcoat right through to fibreglass. Although I don't have top dollar to spend I'm not looking for something that is too far gone to bring back. Phil's pictures were taken in 2010. He told me it was very clean. I drove 7 hours to look at a nightmare so I'm still looking!

you mean 14 hours?

I think you are exaggerating for the most part on your mentioned items!

Also I did send you plenty of pictures (taken) the day you requested them. There was no oil "all over the engine bay". Parts missing off the motors?? it was ready for sea trial........... There is a small spot on the headliner that needs to be reset. The seats are NOT all cracked, torn and faded, and yes the trim indicator (cables) do need to be replaced, not that expensive. Gauges are not fadded-one bezzel has scratch on it and the switches DO need updating. Again... can be done for $200-300.

Fixer upper??? give your head a shake clown. FEW SMALL ITEMS

good luck finding your showroom condition boat with your budget!

I guess some people's definition of mint is different from another's. Phil I'm sure your boat WAS nice, I think you are very attached to it and don't see what your actually stuck with. On the bright side, you will have 2 spare 500efi's sitting in that flower planter in your driveway for your new boat.

too far gone to bring back.I have fixed many boats, not one was "too far gone"

To trash someone like that is not cool,
Good luck on your hunt.
