Comanche3six guessed the speed right. I bet it would go 3 or 4 mph faster without the fuel in the front tanks.

A few summers back when Marks 41 had the Merc 800's in it, I was running right next to Mark & Lucy, and can verify that they indeed were running at 94 mph. I was a little surprized myself, cause I never thought that that big 41 would go over 90.
I was cruising at 90, and Mark came past me. When I caught up to them my GPS read 94 mph to keep an even pace. :D

There are some nice 41's APACHES around but the good ones are not cheap. Plan on spending alot to buy one and a lot to keep one. Sabers notched transom is V'ed, APACHES fairings are aluminum, and APACHES are all kevlar and some are Carbon and kevlar. You can get side by side setups, or short stagger or full stagger. Almost ever 41 APACHE is different in some way, due to full custom order, different floor heights, tank setups, cabins, drives, staggers, layups and int..

How much are the new sabers?

All i can say is that Mag has A LOT of money into it..that boat is spot less and pics don;t do the justice on it. It was restored back to the original way but with an updated interior. The owner of this Mag owns a 65 Azult that he docks in Miami Beach marina...

Hey Jack Ass,
I retract my offer, You don't deserve to purchase my boat at ANY price. You don't have ANY idea to the extint of detail that would come with the boat, much less the strength of a twenty year old Kevlar/Carbon Fiber boat. I would put my twenty year old boat up against ANY new "Glass" boat for a strength test. Want one comparable, look at a $800,000.00 Outerlimits or NorTech. If you are looking to buy an APACHE, you aren't going about it in the right direction. As far as us pouring a ton of money into these boats, YES we do, but that is what we enjoy, maintaining a great product and a piece of history. If you do not understand this, go buy a lesser quaility boat that you can get at a bargin. So far, you have pissed-off just about everyone that is involved in selling any APACHE and would be lucky if they even considered selling you one of their boats. You don't need to respond to my comments, I can already understand what type of person you are and will not comment on any response. Oh, and BTW, that "NEW" CHIEF boat you are talking about was laid-up in 1998, just for your info.

No cig be my guest and step up and buy a 12 year old scarab for what amounts to be 200gs .I will just sit back and wait untill the market on these things really bottoms out (gas will be over 4 dollars a gallon very soon ).Untill then you are more then welcome to step up and pay top dollar because as indicated by the market (esp BOAT FORCLOSURES) no one else is.

nocigarette 04-16-2008 08:09 PM

Then dont post, and complain about how stuipid it is to buy a boat that is too old or too exspensive, sh!t or get off the pot......My boat is old and i am nobody, but the last thing you will hear me complain about is the price of gas or how much my boat will deprciate....

REDDEATH 04-16-2008 08:18 PM

My opinion (whether you like it or not ) is that it is BEYOND STUPID to overpay for of all things a ten year old boat that has been for sale for years with no takers. In this market (once again whether or no you like it or not ) sooner or later i will find somebody (maybe even you ) that absolutely needs the money and then i will buy a boat.Untill then spend your own money not mine if you please.

REDDEATH 04-16-2008 08:28 PM

PS you are not crying or complaining because from what i understand you are running a single engine low horsepower (540 )24 foot boat thats no where near the realm of a 2100 hp 38 foot Larry Smith Scarab in depreciation ,maintaince ,running cost ect.

I believe that's 540 cu in and 27'. I'll bet nocig knows all about market "value". There is also a real value to the years lost NOT boating. It's hard to put a dollar value on them, but if you were to drop dead tomorrow, they'd be worth more than any of your assets, depreciated or not.

Chris Sunkin 04-16-2008 08:50 PM

If you're concerned about cost, you've come to the wrong website.

......My boat is old and i am nobody quote...

Hey pole smoker, i thought i said i was nobody.........And if a n/a 540 making 700 hoarse is low than i am even more ignorant than i orginally thought....Plus my boat is a classic 27 mag that i have restored myself with no care about how much gas it would use...
Have a nice day !!!!

Panther 04-17-2008 08:25 AM

Joe, It's probably not good to make it public you're lookin to get a steal on a boat. We've spoken a lot and I see where you're coming from but sometimes it comes of as being insulting or condescending.

Hopefully you find the one you're looking for and we can do some boating together.

Comanche3Six 04-17-2008 04:22 PM

Bingo

J-Bonz 04-17-2008 07:37 PM

I guess I should have left it in the dreggs............

Nykamp 04-17-2008 10:25 PM

I have told you before buy Dirt, not Kevlar if you have to watch your cash. Other wise buy a boat you like.
