Like I told you before, if someone wants to buy the boat they have the number and dont need your .02.

I dont waste my time with crooked people. How hard is it to just be straight. I have nothing to say. You're the one that said I was just a "young kid" I never said anything to you. When people start noticing the irregularities in your claims and confront you about it then you get mad.
Thats my .02

First, you are wasting everybody time by talking about a boat when everybody knows you are a young kid. Kids play games all the time. Find another game to play, this ones over. Everyone is tired of hearing about what you have to say, they dont care. And you are only getting your information from other kids at Lake Lanier, like what you said earlier

So you are the crooked one.

P.S.
Get a life.
And if you dont like this boat, then why are you so worried about it.

Go_Fast_Pilot 02-17-2008 12:32 PM

Its a small world John, and more people know about your boat than you think. I got my information from 2 current Apache owners who both know leslie. I didn't say your boat was a piece, that it was a dump, all I said was it needed some work and you didn't like that. If you cant look at your boat and tell me that it doesn't need work then you need your eyes checked. I shared my information because I know people travel long distances to look at boats not to mention the money and time involved. If the shoes were swapped I would want to know everything I could before I traveled a 1000 miles. I think a lot of people here know where I'm coming from. If everybody is tired of hearing about what I have to say then I haven't heard anything.

Sorry but its not a small world, its a big world, its just too bad that we have people like you in it. Like I said I am sure that anyone who comes and looks at the boat they will find something wrong with it. Then again its not a new boat. It is sad that you put everyones name in this, that you say knows Mike Leslie, if they are friends of his and yours, I could see why your saying what you are saying. Let the other buyers whore are interested in this boat decide for theirselves. I am sure that they dont need a kids advice. So again find something else to do.

Wow, This is some good reading.

All this "kid" talk got me interested. What constitutes someone being a "kid?"

Go_Fast_Pilot 02-17-2008 10:41 PM

I hope you get what is coming to you John. If someone wants me to quit giving my input I'm sure a moderator will be in touch. People will know what I'm talking about when they see the boat. I rest my case.

I'll agree on the interesting reading!! Looks like a nice ride from the pics. But I've learned over the years pics can be very misleading. This day in age with the cost of travel it always helps to be honest to avoid this type of situation. As you can see how quick it comes around. Good luck with the sale. I'd love to own a 28 Apache!

Yes, I hope I get what I want for the boat too. Like I said before, keep getting your information from kids around the lake, I am sure everyone has got the message from you. Someone who uses all their time to talk about someone elses boat, that you have no clue about, seems a little pointless.

I agree with you 100%
Pictures do not show everything.
I can only tell you what I know about the boat, I am not hiding anything. I will be glad to give you all the information that I have retained since I've owned the boat. I do not want anybody to buy this boat, if they dont want it.
That is why if someone is interested in this boat then they are welcome to bring someone who is an expert, with them so that they can know everything about it. Instead of listening to hear-say, if you know what I mean.

P.S.
I have talked to the machine shop who built the engines and they will be glad to pass that information to someone interested in the boat.

Hey Steve,
If you still want to hear more drama, then I am sure you will get an email from "Go Fast Pilot" Good luck in listening to him. I think that Tracy knows more about the boat then anyone on OSO. Good Luck

Damn! Talk about a p*ssing contest. You guys are giving us Ga boys a bad rep! You told the guy ta talk private about what you saw in the boat. Why does it have to be private? Does sound fishy to me. Spill the beans! What is being misadvertized about the boat?????

It doesnt have to be private, so I dont know where you got that from. So if you want anyinformation on this boat you can contact me.

There is nothing to hide about this boat. There is enough information on OSO, but if someone wants to keep saying the same thing over and over, what does that tell you?

If anyone wants any iformation about this boat, then I will be glad to tell you about it.

P.S.
So stop the hear-say.

I am glad you finally told the truth. Like you said, you dont have a clue about the boat. And it looks like your grabbing for straws. So hopefully this is the last straw.

So you need to quit talking about the boat, since you dont know anything, all you know is hear-say, that you keep spreading.

Go_Fast_Pilot 02-20-2008 01:55 AM

Learn punctuation John! I saw the boat so I know. You said i know nothing about the boat and I saw it in person. When someone uses a punctuation mark such as this "?" that means its a question. When someone uses a punctuation mark like this " . " that means its a statement. Maybe you need to think twice about who is the kid here. If i recall I learned that in 1st grade. So what I obviously said was a question, NOT A STATEMENT! I saw the boat so yeah, I know about the boat. But when you cant get a straight answer from the owner you go elsewhere to get to the bottom of the situation. I have yet to say anything other than "the boat needs work" everybody asked me for information, I don't broadcast. In case you don't know.... when you use marks like these " it means you are quoting something someone said or something coming from a book or other source and they are called quotation marks. I also learned that in 1st grade!

-If I have to go to elementary school levels to make you understand, it does nothing but make it easier on me.

wikipedia.com is a great place to go to learn what words and punctuation marks mean!

Just because you saw the boat for all of 10 whole minuets, that shows how much you know about boats, making the statements that you make. (Statement) My 12 year old daughter can look at boats all day, doesn't mean she can tell you anything about it, which is the same perspective that you look at it.(Statement)

Its hard to know so much about this boat, since you and the boat are around the same age.(Statement)

P.S
Please stay in school and I hope you graduate and learn something besides talking about a boat that you know nothing about. And I have been contacted by people that I know, that know some people, that know you and they said not to believe anything that comes out of your mouth.
So shut your f*****g mouth.

You need to get a job after school, so you wont have so much time to play on OSO.

Good lord let it end already. The boat is what it is. If someone wants it they will buy it. If someone wants to comment on what they have seen, than so be it.

I drove 500 miles one way to view a boat once and lets just say I wish I would have had some comments from others before I wasted a long day in the car.

Then again I am just a "kid" so John probably doesn't care what I think. However, I am a couple years older than my boat and Johns boat for that matter.

pachanga 02-20-2008 09:35 PM

I hope you others watching don't think all of us down here(or up here) in Ga are like this! Gotta say it's a p*ssing contest that would be very interesting to watch play out in person! :hitfan:

Like I said, I dont know how many times I have to say it, if someone wants to buy the boat, they know how to contact me.

Sorry you drove so long to look at a boat, but no one has to drive 500 miles to look at this boat if they don't want to. I hope they call and ask questions first. As long as the comments are true, I agree with you.

Viperfitness1 02-20-2008 10:09 PM

ok im finally going to chime in here with my .02!

if anyone thinks that buying a 17 year old boat is not going to have some problems then you are completely delusional. if you want an apache without any issues or problems go buy one new from mcmanus. otherwise weigh the good and the bad and make a freaking decision about it and move on. of course the boat has issues it doesnt take a high school diploma to figure that out. but dam if you think you are going to buy a 17 year old apache and not spend a dime on it i think you should find a different hobby. i bought my apache in december from shogren and read every post related to the boat and of course some a$$hole who had went and looked at it said it had stress cracks on it.... (no sh!t) well what he didnt see is what caused the cracks he was talking about, he just spouted off that it was a p.o.s. cause there was a couple of cracks on it. well the cracks were caused by the hydraulic cylinders that raised the hatches. EASY FIX we simply made braces to correct the problem and moved on with the project. stop bashing the guys boat and if someone is really serious about buying it let them make an educated decision themselves and give them useful info like how to correct the problems the WILL find after they buy it. and who cares if they travel to see it or not, small price to pay to find an apache

anyways im still a kid and i still LOVE my apache 41!

Comments are true. Unfortunately in my case the owner of the boat had swapped out an engine thinking no one would notice that the one engine was older than the boat. My point was that if I would have asked questions on a board like this someone might had seen the boat recently and given me a heads up (I am not trying to insinuate that your boat is any different than you claim it to be or that a heads up is in order, just stating my experience)

It all worked because I found myself an Apache instead. It is a work in progress, but that is what is so cool about it. Viper is right about many Apaches having their issues. Hell, any 15-20 year old boat is going to show some use. I'd still take a 15 year old Apache over a 5 year old Baja any day!!

John, best of luck selling your boat. I got a bit fired up over the kid comment because I often get the same comment directed @ me when totally unwarranted. I guess the fact that I look like I am 18 will work to my advantage when I am 40.

JPD Motorsports 02-20-2008 11:19 PM

COME ON SUMMER!!!! I'm running out of popcorn this winter from all the bulcrap that has been posted.

Seller says is what it is a once potentual buyer says what it is while other are looking on, if somebody is serious aobut the boat sure they will read here and other places to do research, but will also go see for themselves or have somebody they "trust" go look before they go. Don't know how much lunger a person can beat a dead horse but the way this thread is going were all about to see!

If that is true then I want names. I spent 45 minutes looking at the boat in a low light area at that where I had seen all i could. There again you alter the truth to make you look better. And you would have to add about ten years to the boat FYI. This is so stupid. I have yet to bash the boat all I said was it needed work and then your only defense was Im a young kid and don't know anything about boats. Yes it is true, you were probably there 45 minutes. I got there late, so you only saw the boat around 10 minutes, since you weren't authorized to go look at the boat. Yes it stupid, that you have spent all this time worrying about my boat. Like I said before, and I'll say it again, I am sure that anybody that comes and looks at this boat, will find someting wrong with it.

Let the buyer decide.

Let the buyer beware of people that say things that are not true and have nothing else to do.

I am sure that whoever buys this boat will bring someone with them that is experienced in boats or have a survey done on this boat. They are welcome to do whatever they need to do to satisfy theirself.
