Massive Thunder,
Why did you even start this thread on this forum?

I found it funny that on a previous thread that,I believe the current owner of Apache, thought it was great that there new 36 step ran 81mph on hp500's.

Well lets see what their AT's look like after 300+ hours.
But i am still wondering how you 37AVH guys think that your boats are so fast in the ruff if they don't even float yet!?

Massive Thunder,
I read that post. I believe the speed mentioned is respectable for that boat. In my opinion this thread shouldn't have started.

81 mph in a 36' Apache is hauling ass .... why do people insist that top speed in ideal conditions is everything???

You're right, 81 is fast for an old, antiquated hull. Fact of the matter is, this post seems to be someone who is just trying to push some buttons. BUT, in all respect, there is no way in hell that a Cigarette 36/38 or Apache 36 could keep up with the 37 AVH in smooth or ROUGH water, can't happen unless the AVH has a mechanical problem. I know all of you are going to say BS, but it's extremely accurate. I have "been there, done that". And if you don't believe me, why is Apache out of business?
