Mark,
Yes it was Scott Rutherford and I that stayed in your condo and had a wonderful ride in the Apache.

Looking at the steering rams dont look like it turns much.
Am i missing anything? Thanks Eric

I wouldn't think it would run real well especially in any type of rough stuff because you couldn't keep it hooked up.....Rik and I have had this conversation a few times in the past and NO NOTCH is the way to go!!!

Technically for a full Stagger but for a standard side by side or even a short stagger could use a filler panel only where the drives are mounted so that they mount correctly.

When you say filler panel do you mean a panel that is bolted in place of the notch or is the panel glassed in. Do you have any pics of how the panel is filled in. I would just like to see how involved it is and if the integrity of the transom is compromised. Just trying to picture it. Thanks

Basically, the Arnesons are "X" inches wide and will need to be placed on the transom at "Y" location. The area which would extend below the actual transom and extend into the notched are would need to be filled in so that the drive does not hang in the water so to speak. The entire notched transom therefore would not need to be filled, just this area. On a lot of boats this is only 3-4" tall and 14" wide but every boat manufacturer made a different notch and it depends upon which Arneson is being used. Not saying a full transom is not good, just that it is a bit easier for most to address the area rather than the entire notch.

Don't have access to photos at this moment.
