What ever you guys can tell me about it would be great I am interested in it, I like the center steer but unsure about the motors or drives.

Only thing I know is I want it! To me it's the best setup to have, full pleasure staggered, beautiful cabin and full cockpit looks great to me.

Does that build sheet say the valves need to be adjusted every 10 hours?!?!?!? Is that normal for engines like that?

TURBO JET 04-01-2013 08:57 PM

Thanks for picking that out i will ask.

That's the best all around performer you could ask for from Apache in a pleasure config.....and yes you should run the valves every 10-20 hrs

Saw the boat a few years ago in Sandusky when a buddy was considering, was in real good shape, very cool boat!! hope its still as nice.....good luck!

depending on the access, having to adjust the valves that often would kill it for me. Even being a mechanic who can do that type thing myself, that would be a PITA to do on most boats I have ever seen.

Not necessarily, on the "if u blowup a #4 u r out of biz". I have new upper gear sets and new "big" propshafts for the #4 drives. There are still a lot of used parts still out there for the #4. I, personally would not be afraid of a boat with #4's on it. Also, in my opinion, #6's would, granted, make the drives "bullet proof" but they are considerably heavier than the #4 and add the additional expense of a #6 drive and the ultra high priced #6 gimbal. Just my .02 for what its worth. Sorry for disagreeing with you Mark.
