He was advised replace the transom and fuel tanks in a 30 year old 41!

Yikes, I woukd have done it while apart already, you can see the damage in the pics to transom being delaminates...

If that little bit is all that's wrong replacing the transom would be a complete waste of time.

Transom is solid,boat been sitting many years inside,did a couple of drill holes on inside ,no rot.So im moving forward to install engines..will keep you guys posted..got my 3 man bolster from the shop but wrong colour,so didnt have to pay..
