Your in the beginning process....curious where you attempt to start? your searching for help to acquire picture from renderings for scale, but do fabricate hull from scratch?...what material? do you take a mold from a similar toy hull...just curious.

I already started. (Link to my build thread -> http://www.intlwaters.com/threads/1-...d-build.88521/.) Can't post an actual link yet. I have one more piece to machine for the deck plug. I am making my own molds and will layup in fiberglass. I have some Kevlar so I may put some in just because the original boat had it. It's too late now to incorporate any dimensional changes to the hull, but I've been pushing around the idea of remaking the molds if I somehow ran across actual dimensions that can make it more accurate. After this I am actually thinking about making a 1/6 scale 41' so I can put scale V8 engines in it. That's for the future though. (No one makes a 1/8 scale V8 that I've found and that's a-whole-nother big project.)

Chris.....The path to the precise detail your in the process of duplicating blows me away, I mean, your not just wildling away on some balsa wood with a pocket knife. Machine cad fabrication (if that's the term) is brain cells above my understanding, but I hope you get the dimensions your looking for...Good Luck! ....I have the same 35 hull (comparative speaking) as Dry Martini does or would Mike Bontoft sell a 1/16th version of her?
