Would you buy a No Name boat from a salesman in a pinstripe suit?

But if you want to bring it up, who would you rather deposit your money with, someone who can back up their claims and promises, or some who can make a promise without any possibility of supporting you during and after the pirchase? DUHHHHH! Get real, maybe it is time for someone with a business background instead of a wannabe hobbyshop mentality. after all, do you think a businesman is a better bet in business than a wannabe hobby shop rigger? Not trying for a war here, just want to put the facts out. Would you take advice and believe the promises of the guy on the corner in his wornout clothes with a sign that says "Will work for food" or would you listen to the guy in the Rolls Royce, in a killer 3 piece suit that buys you lunch and tells you his facts? Nothing is guaranteed, but who is the best bet? [/QUOTE] Wazzup wit that, many small builders work hard to create great boats. Which are built in a shop. Pardon my resin stains |

I have sold plenty of high dollar boats most over 500k and it would be a cold day in hell that I wear a pinstripe suit to do it in.......

My opinion is that if the owner/salesman is out there working and knowing his product I would rather talk to him in his worn out clothes than the show off ******* that wants to show me how over priced his boat is by acting like a king roller (if he is or isn't)

Originally posted by SS930 Yes you are correct. That was way out of line, but so is all of this silly nonsense you guys keep starting! Why can't you just let these guys make their boat and THEN make a FAIR judgment??? Let it die guys! BTW, where did you get the racist crap from? |

It is a beautiful Plug, I am too waiting to see the boat. The original 41 and 36 are among my favorites that I have driven and owned through the years. I cannot begin to express the admiration for the people involved. Folks there are boats for all of us. Apache holds a special place in offshore. Bobby Saccenti started it, Benny made it bigger than life, maybe too big, hell Bobby almost lost his life racing the brand (cat). Today we look back with admiration for all that Apache has done and has meant. I cherish mine and look forward to seeing the sister-ships across the land.
I could go on for a while, it is my marketing background. The SPIRIT of apache runs through some of us, the curiosity is in all of us. The old has drawn the line, the new is trying to make it's mark. Steve build it, if it is good, all will know. Remember though the old was the mark, quit trying to take it down, it is the foundation you are trying to build on. One more thing due to this kind of abrasive discussions The Warpath is coming. Long live the Spirit ! |
Originally posted by Too Old I'm a little slow I guess. I don't know why this keeps coming up over and over again. The topic has been so thoroughly covered, I can't imagine anyone who doesn't understand the recent history of the "New Apache". The bad blood between the guys who were involved at the inception and who's still involved and their histories as posters on OSO and in the South Florida boating scene is well documented. Bad press is better than no press. And as my father use to say....."every knock's a boost." Think about it.;) But hey...OSO is place we should be able to post our thoughts on all things related to boating. I guess I could keep my cake hole shut and just pass on by the topic too, eh?:D |
Go Ahead Warpaint!!!:eureka:
