You have to build a boat before you can play with the companies that have already proven themselves

Heya Spitfire,

Believe me when is say this. This whole affair is not complicated. Its so cut and dry its scary. McManus was listed as the owner of the Apache Trademark well before, as in years before, this new "Apache" was ever dreamed up.

Bobby and Eric have both said they sold Warrior Powerboats. Apache LLC just thought they could steam roll Mark M. They were wrong. Before the lawsuit, they tried to buy the trademark from McManus, he said no, you know the rest. Why would they try to buy something they already own ???

They would like everybody to believe this is a complicated legal matter because quite frankly, the simple FACTS are not in there favor.

spitfire1 05-10-2004 08:18 PM

That sounds about right.....however.....what still has me wondering is why Jack would make a statement like that when he was involved from the very beginning....and he said the Apache trademark...not Warrior.....he was very specific about that....and like I said before...I believe he said that someone did not act in an expedient manner and thus lost the rights to the Apache trademark.....so, that is why I am wondering what the real story is.....

The only person who will ever own a Thad built boat is Thad.

It will cost him over 3 million bucks:D :D

Tonto 05-10-2004 09:50 PM

Well, I ain't 'fraid to identify myself,
Robert Tanner
41 APACHE TONTO
Built by Mark McManus in '91, original named "FIGHTER SQUADRON" built for Bob Waxman.

I personally hope all this get THROWN out of court and the Chicago group has to pay restitution. I HATE frivilous lawsuites.

Jay, if I was you and I sold all my **** and moved down here to go to work for someone and was then fired, you can bet your ass, I WOULD be PISSED. I don't know what they have over on you, but it must be good.

Robert Tanner

WetKitty42 05-10-2004 10:01 PM

Oh I forgot the McManus law suit. It's time for some attorneys to take the TadPole to the cleaners. Why not, the South Florida boys already did!!!:p :p

Of course you would, you are not a designer and do not understand the characteristics of a properly designed running surface capable of maximum efficiency and proper attitude - way past the 80's dude

You're right....I am not a designer AND NEVER claimed to be one! But, I do understand running surfaces and hull bottoms capable of efficiency OR inefficiency. When I was at the factory I was told point blank that the rocker was taken out of the bottom of the boat because it wasn't needed, your words not mine, therefore my statement stands I still have my doubts. When it comes time, if ever, to run it I would like to see it run or better yet, run it, and then give you a fair assesment of it's proper or inproper attitudes.

Still wanna play?

That may be the most insiteful, knowledgeable and truthful statement on this whole thread. It's also the SCARIEST!!! :D

Tonto 05-11-2004 09:26 AM

I am and always will be Sean Stinson............

I thought you were AKA "POODLE"

Couldn't resist that one "Bro"

Robert Tanner
Owner, '91 Lumpy ole resin bucket, "TONTO"

Steve 1 05-11-2004 09:27 AM

Sean You are misunderstanding what the facts are here... The bottom was put "BACK" to the Warpath Profile..

sean stinson 05-11-2004 10:08 AM

OK so let me get this straight. The plug was put BACK to the original 41 Don Aronow/McManus designed "Warpath" as your statement speaks? If this is the case the rumor mill may just be correct! I anxiously await your response.

Miller and Tonto you two got me. But I will return the favor sometime.;) :D

cigarette1 05-11-2004 10:54 AM

Did somebodys big idea NOT WORK ????

;)

Steve 1 05-11-2004 11:03 AM

Sean I made the bottom agree with the Orginial Warpath Drawings and Cad profile we have/Had..

Anyway why the interest??

sean stinson 05-11-2004 11:09 AM

Curiosity always kills the cat doesn't it Steve?

Steve 1 05-11-2004 11:13 AM

Sean not really My Cats run just fine.. LOL

stinger312 05-11-2004 11:35 AM

where did the original warpath drawings come from... who had them all this time...???? Just curious

sean stinson 05-11-2004 11:53 AM

There was big talk about this great new "T4" bottom that you designed and it was going to revolutionize the powerboat busness! I heard you guys tested it and the question is DID IT RUN OR DID IT NOT simple question.

Maybe you can enlighten us all just a little.

Also there was no pun intended in the curiosity kills the cat comment.
