Thank you for the info. I have a 26' Awesome with a 558 Cubic Inch Tall deck Alluminum heads with a m-3 intercooled procharger I just completed. I ran it last season with out the procharger the engine produced 620 H.P. on Dyno and the boat ran its best with a 3" spacer, 1.5 gear ratio and a 26 pitch four blade - my beast spped was 84 - 85 m.p.h. on G.P.S. Speedo. This year the motor should produce close to 1000 H.P. with my new set up. I have a 30 pitch maximus - I'm hoping to break the century mark!

I ran a 28 brovo with the 1 1/2" spacer and went the same speed as I am with the 26 and the 3" spacer. I had to prop down to the 26 with the extra depth, anyway I'll let you know how well the boat runs. - I agree that the 3" spacer is the way to go!!

Just a little update. I put the boat in the water to test and it rus great!! I am only producing three pounds of boost at 5500 - 5600 R.P.M's and I Hit 100M.P.H. at W.O.T.!! Since then I have put on a smaller pulley in order to increase my boost I'm hoping to turn my motor at 6000 at W.O.T. century mark - This is the weekend I will test - Wish me Luck!! One more thing the boat handles excelent at these speeds!!!

What gear ratio's on your drives and what R.P.M. are you spinning the 28's when you are at W.O.T. ?

There's an old guy (named Bernie --about 70yrs old ) that lives in lake Havasu City, Az. that has a very fast Awesome. He used to work with Whipple on their superchargers. His boat runs around 125mph and he is always looking for a race.

Hey James, Is the boat finished? Let's see some pics of the completed project!!!!! Mine is still in the final build phase. Motors are just being wired. Next to the dyno for some run time and pre-tune. Richard
