A-MEN brother, Jeff, I told you all I knew about those engines, I hope you have better luck than Jimmy, DB got very expensive, and always had an excuse so he would not warranty it, I'd a been a whole lot " less nice" than jimmy was though , when he did'nt warranty it, that was supposed to be new from the block up

I would not let him touch my engines with a 10 foot pole.

From what I have seen and heard first hand he builds "JUNK" and rips people off.

There were two detonated pistons, one cracked head, and the rods were from a 502 mpi instead of a 500 efi. The block was able to be salvaged, I bought a couple heads from a friend of mine, two new pistons, new eagle rods, rings, bearings, and gaskets.

The starboard engine seems to be running strong, let's hope it stays that way for a while.

That mount is in the correct position. It is too tall(the mount) and there is not enough stringer height on the outboard mount location so they just flip it over and you're done.

Thats about the same thing that happened last time, Leon claimed it had a bad injector and caused it to detonate, The other engine was actually rebuilt by a friend of ours and always seemed strong, I would definatly call DPM and let him know whats up, or at least shoot an email, he's a member here, but I dont recall his username

I did get a good deal, but I didn't expect to have these kind of problems with a rebuilt engine.

If he had used the correct parts to do the job I probably would not have these problems.
