Every where we look there are LED lights.
I have counted close to 100 and they are awesome. We turned out the lights in the shop and it is like being in a disco. |
Looks great !!!!!
I have to throw in though,,,,, your the only guy I know who would redo one of the best cared for 36's out there!!!! |

There's no way to really give the full effect of the LED's with pictures.
There are blue and white in the engine compartment. Blue under the seat base. Blue under the front bolsters and in the storage compartments at the gunnels. Then there are blue in the cuddy and red inside all the lockers in the cuddy. Those are all very nice but the realy cool part is the four LED light bars that are computer controlled and have over 10,000 colors. They are also wired to the stereo for effect. You can have one single color. The you can press the button and scrolls through all the colors and press the button again and it strobes and so on. |
Air Horns
There will not be a tunnel vision PWC driver any more that does not know I'm coming. Yes two pair (four trumpets) with two compressors!:evilb: Man that thing is LOUD. Adam did a fantastic job of mounting the compressors under the rear bench. |

Of course most of you have already been introduced to Lisa and Kate.
Man they sound NICE and Adam could not believe how they idled just like a stock 500EFI. |
A comment was made that this is the nicest boat to every co out of the Checkmate factory. While it turned out super nice and while we are very proud of it that is not a fair statement for Checkmate who has always built a nice product.
Dean and Doug have a lot of nice tricks up their sleeves that I wish i could share. Keep as eye out for them at the Miami boat show this year with a brand new model. It's really exciting to see what is going on up there and I know there will be a lot of awesome boats coming out of Checkmate in the days to come. A special thanks to Dean for the Lisa & Kate stickers and Tommie really appreciates the Mercury Racing bag and the clock. They are real nice and already in use. Doug, Linda and Dee are wonderful people and I have really enjoyed visting with you all on the recent trips. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to every one at Checkmate. |
Doc- you going to run the boat this week on LKN? It's suppose to be in the mid 60s by Wednesday. I hope to make it out on Wed/ Thurs to test some props.

Thank you Clayton for a very nice job on the hatch mount and the lift tube.
The candy blue is awesome and we appreciate you stopping the work on the Harley paint set to jump right on this I think? |

Greg said to tell your wife hello! |

If your panel lights are like mine you would get blinded at night and I would have to run without them on.
Dave and Doug solved that by adding a dimmer switch to my panel switches. It is a three position switch just like the hatch switch. Neutral in the center and when you press up the get brighter adn press woen and they dim. What a really cool idea that I understand they used on some of the newer Baja's. |

One of my favorite little things about the boat now is the the way the LEDs glow inside the vents as seen in post #323. And the horns...........WOW! They were blown on 2 different occassions while I was on the phone finishing a car deal and totally lost my train of thought. I had to laugh and tell the guy what was going on!:D |

The stereo ROCKS!
Adam is the stereo man as seen at LOTO when Split Decision won the stereo contest that he designed and installed himself. We now have four zones and you can simply press a button to power up an amp for each zone. The new 6 x 9 are awesome compared to what came on the boat originally and he even wired the television in for when we are relaxing watching a movie. |

She put them in the man cave today for safe keeping. The other thing I need to thank you for is donating your own time to buff out our top deck. That was very nice of you and it looks great. Thank you my friend. Merry Christmas Mark & Tommie |

Hey switching gears just a little.
Look at the custom harley paint set that Clayton at Kustom Kolors is working on for us. It started out as solid Pearl white and he has added PPG "Oh So Orange" along with silver. He has it about 80% finished and it is really going to be sharp. |

Dean, and Doug have always ranked at the top of my list, and we even got to see the hull graphics on their new boat later on Friday. XT-Innovations is scheduled to do some work on new models for Checkmate Marine. The in-gel graphics at Checkmate are second to none, and I am very excited about their new models. XT:cool: |

They were on a mission!:evilb: Thanks for lunch buddy. Keep Ron out of trouble and let me know when the paint set is ready. Doug Smith is heading down for Christmas and he said he would bring it to me if it is finished. |

Okay I have to get busy.
The weatherman says 72 degree on Thursday. As X-Driver mentioned this will probably be the week that we always get warm weather in December and if I miss it I may regret. I'll keep you all posted in advance if I can pull it off and maybe I will see some of you on the water! |

I would like to personally thank each and everyone who has been involved in this project. All of the names and players were mentioned earlier on this thread so many to mention I just don't want to miss anyone so I will leave it at that. This entire project was handled with such care and compassion that it was just so easy to put it all together. If life could be like that every day we would all be better from it. When Dock got out baby home I was just amazed with the transition. What was even more amazing was those plus size ladies Kate & Lisa actually did fit under the hatch and believe me they are beautiful. Dock and I are looking forward to getting back up to our favorite place this summer Put- in- Bay and Kelly's Island as we call it (Keywest Ohio Style). Guys again thank yo for a job well done and Merry Christmas and God Bless you all.

The Boat Princess (Mrs. Dock Holiday) She does not get on these boat sites much and never posts so that speaks volumes about how she feels the project turned out. |
Adam,
I was just reviewing the bar tab from Bakers and I think I may know why your head was still hurting yesterday! 19 Coors Light 4 Budweiser 12 Bud Light 8 Jager Meister I'm pretty sure it is safe to double that when you ad in what was consumed at the Crazy Fox. Hope you feel better soon!:evilb: Dock |

Doug and Adam lining up the front bolsters with Teambaja looking on to make sure they are straight.
They added an aluminum backing plate under the floor for added strength that Baja did not do originally. |

Adam was not happy with the original aluminum angle motor mounts and changed them out for a heavier gauge aluminum and increased the bolt diameter also for extra strength.

The drivers side bolster is mounted and wired up. They are lifting the port side bolster in the boat to be mounted.
Adam added BLUE led's under the front bolsters that give a very nice effect. All the led's are wired together with on single switch on the dash panel. |

If you have ever wanted to know what a 36 looks like without a wind screen then here you are.
Dave had it off repaining the white strip underneath the bottom edge and he was polishing it. |
