there have been guys who used a stelling box with the imco tork shaft, but I think theres a extra chit you have to do.
You take out the driveshaft and carrier, set the box in the top hole ( which makes it neutral) and use the IMCO shaft....it's accomplishing the same thing as an IMCO neutral box, but for a lot more $$$ |

Steve(Violator) is going to be at St.Clair Run and he's running 12" IMCO with 496HO with CMI's running stock drive and running solid 70mph on gps full load. Too bad your not going to be there to check it out. My boat is up there right now as well I'm hoping he has it done on Monday so I can pick it up. I would like to have same setup minus the CMI's. I wish i could make it!! |

You have to add the steering. Something else is if your boat doesn't have full time tails/mufflers the box has no provision for this either. As far as the benefit of a exstension box, there are no guarantees of any gain, sometimes you will loose, unless you can find someone who has the same exact hull and power as you that found a perfect set-up and achieved a gain.Where are you at in Mi,I know Andy fairly well,Smitty
I live in Flushing. Where do you do most of your boating. Higgins lake for me. |

You must know "Captain Morgan w/27ft procharged fountain" if you run primarily higgins as he keeps his boat there,I did a transmission for one of his vehicles years ago and we both bought identical procharger kits from Wilson's at the same time,Smitty |
Well this project is finally taking shape...Got the boxes and they are going on next week and working on nailing down a set of shorties....Just gotta find the time to put the engines back in with some minor rerigging and I should be able to have it running again by May...I hope..:party-smiley-004:
