baja hammer vs 20 outlaw

looking for pros and cons of the baja hammer and the baja 20' outlaw. it is really on my mind that you can get a 20' outlaw basically new for 20k. is the outlaw really really small??? looking at the newer ones. i loved the 186 sport baja and that is def smaller than a 20 outlaw. my uncle had a hammer very sharp boat and flew good with a 454 magnum. i like the hammer better but somthing about a boat with under 50hrs for 20k(meaning an outlaw) really has me. let me know if im thinking with my head up my
i am thinking of trading in my 226 sport see what theyll give me Chris

HAMMER

The hammer is a heavier better constructed boat in my opinion. You can add a lot more HP in the Hammer. I know several that have owned 20 Outlaws and they have really enjoyed them but I like the old school stringer construction.

Happy Boating

What are you looking to get out of the 226? Any pics?

20 Outlaws are fun boats, but Id take a Hammer any day of the week.

Def the Hammer. Better ride and much faster. Cool boats

My first Baja was a 20 Outlaw and if given the choice again I would go Hammer any day of the week.

As long as you have a survey performed and have the powertrain gone through you should have no issues. In fact, I would venture to say from my experiences that the Hammer will be a much more solid boat with high hours on it then the 20 will with lower hours.

Hammer, Hammer, Hammer

For the price I see on them, they are the better deal. The real icing on the cake would be to find one with EFI power. Once you have EFI, or MPI power, it is hard to go back to a carb.

I would take a carb or naturally aspirated motor any time over the electronics. You will get home every time, and it's easier to upgrade for more horses, it's not hard to get 6-700 Hp out of a carbed motor. JMO

Here is my boat i am selling. I have absolutly no complaints about the boat. It has been great to me. The boat sure turns heads too. No problems at all. The boat starts everytime and runs great. Had it up to 60mph on Lake Cumberland about a month ago. I just bought a Fountain so i need to sell the Outlaw. Let me know if you are interested. Thanks!

I see this is old... so can we bring it back around. Does everyone still feel the same way?

I am comparing a 99 hammer vs a 02 or so 20' outlaw. I just can't seem to find a lot of people comparing the two.
