In big waves the aluminum platforms don't slap the water like a molded swim platform, and they are nicer to move the boat by hand in shallow water at the beach. On the other hand, fiberglass will never corrode or chip!

Well and offer was submitted - unfortunately by someone else. So unless it goes through my hunt begins again.
Per the listing agent 23K. So over my budget.
Eyes are open for a 232/252.

Im guessing you watch Ebay but here is a 25 Outlaw that hasnt got a bid yet. Might be worth making an offer after the sale.

Not sure if thats the right boat, but per the pictures the boat looked clean, and its in the right area.
Unfortunately I think Im stuck on a Performance Series boat, so either H2X, 232, 252, or doubful but maybe 272.
I think my top preference given XTs background is the 252.
1) reasonable size, +55 mph even for standard 454 MPI
2) same size cockpit as 272
3) same deadrise as 272, so better than 232
4) drop out bolsters that the H2X lacks.
But my budget (20K) might only allow a 232.
