Kyle, good to see you out there this past weekend. Hate to hear of the trouble you went to get there, but at least its over now. Here's to many more good ones on the water! (BTW: you all left a the perfect time on Sunday, we hung around for 20 more minutes and got drenched!!)

I still have my old 4 blade 24p Bravo 1 on my boat now. I have a friend with a 4 blade 28p Bravo 1 that he is going to let me try out. Hopefully I can get some kind of idea of the prop I need after I try it out. I will post some numbers as soon as find out..

I finally was able to upload a video of the first start up of my new engine. This was right before I took it to the lake.

A friend of mine let me borrow his 4 blade 28p bravo 1 earlier today. I finally was able to see how my boat would respond to a decent pitch prop. It handled really good. I had 3/4 tank of fuel and 2 adults.
I was able to get 84 mph gps out of it. I kept hitting my rev limiter at 5600 rpms.:

4000 rpms = 50 mph
5000 rpms = 71 mph
5600 rpms = 84 mph

What do you think I should try next? Do you think a 30p will be to much?

A worked 30 P sounds like it would be perfect. If that was GPS you should be banging on 90 with a 30P. I wouldn't have my buddies in there running that fast though......That hull at 90 will get away from you quick if something lets go.

I just got back from trying out my new labbed 4 blade 30p Bravo 1 prop.
I had 1/4 tank of fuel and 2 adults besides myself. (3 total, probably 550-575 lbs)
It was 93 degrees and humidity was really high. The water was a little choppy.
I still hit my rev limiter over and over. All I could get was 82.8 mph gps.
It seems like I was hitting the rev limit just as easy as the non labbed 4 blade 28p bravo 1 that I tried out last week. Would that extra 200lbs man and less fuel cause that much Slip in my prop? What should I try next?

Put a msd box on it with a chip and set it high as your engine can take. I have a m1 procharger and it has stickers on the dash board not to run full throttle at 1/4 tank and under. I would check into your super charger. Procharger has stickers stating that.

I am putting a msd box on the boat as we speak. My boat is still in the shop and I hope the mechanic doesn't find anything else wronge. I just found out i need to put arp studs to hold down the head gasket. I blew my head gasket because i had factor set for my head gasket and the bolts to hold it down. The boat came that way, so slowly i am finding things that need to be corrected. I hope i didn't do anymore damage, but the marina said i had a ton of water in my engine. So he is taking the whole engine apart and checking things out, expensive preventive maintance and correcting anything that wasn't down right. He said if he doesn't take the engine apart i might have a time bomb waiting for me every time i go out. So I am checking and fixing it now so no more problems i hope. I have been on the lake 2 hours this whole summer. I hope to be out all of august

Thanks conneroutlaw,
I have a MSD ignition box. I am waiting for my Soft touch box that Eddie forgot to give back to me when he dyno'd my engine. Good luck on your Engine.
