Never been. Probably head up north though if the weather's good, especially since we didn't get out this weekend!
Got the lights installed today.... Well, mostly. I'll take a picture tonight.
I ran the wires up through the same holes for the trim tab wire and hose. Surprisingly, these holes were only sealed from the inside of the boat, and not all that well. Everything is solid though..... But I'll definitely be sealing both sides before I reinstall the small shrouds. And I've been thinking of sealing the periphery and screw heads of all the through-transom fittings.
But I like the fact that no new holes have to be drilled through the transom.
Decent kit, but doesn't look too difficult to fabricate either. Basically LED strip lighting cut to length, wired up, and siliconed into aluminum C-channels. Hopefully they're bright enough!

Great! Look forward to seeing them, glad the install went well, where you heading "up North?"
I might have a crack at fabricating a kit? You can buy those Chinese LED strip lights on Ebay for next to nothing, I bought a set a month ago that was waterproof, and 5 Metres long, cost me $12 shipped. Was gonna mount them on the inside of my swim platform to shine down in the water, but, I would like the actual "underwater" lights as well
Thanks for the info, glad the install went smooth!

Probably Barrie or Orillia, been up there lots this year. Shorter drive, nice water for swimming, etc.!
Here's a few pics I took last night at 3:00 a.m. ..... in the one pic the cat is wondering what the hell I'm doing out there at that time. But it does show how much they light up the ground a few feet behind. They seem to light up well, haven't water tested them yet.
If you get a chance, post a pic up of the Ebay ones you bought.... these ones are sort of a rubbery strip light, about 3/8 wide or so. Looks like you can cut them to length, etc.
