Its suposed to be at 705 hp 655 is what the whipple kit is supposed to produce and Dana claims the headers are good for 50. Its just got the 5 pound pully on the 2.3 liter whipple so prolly 3-5 pounds of boost.

What was the reasoning behind using an extension box? What differences did you notice? Did you have to raise the engine/exhaust up?

baditude 09-20-2012 03:30 PM

I bought the boat built but the motor was raised 4 inches and the exaust had to be recut the box is nutreal and it has a imco 2 inch shorty it rides like alot bigger boat with the extension box like it's a 25. But docking it is kind of a pain with the prop further away from the hull

I wasn't aware that extension boxes changed low speed handling characteristics. That's interesting

It's just at idling in reverse it's different other than that it's the best handling boat I've had

The trailer fits great the way its set up now the bunks go back 6 inches futher than the transom, might have to adjust the mast or just make sure the tabs are always up. here are some pictures.

Sorry, I missed this one. The 24ol is the same hull both the 25ol and 272 are based from so the trailer should be a good fit. I would adjust the winch stand back to the point where the rear bunk support bracket is right under the transom wood for the best support. Tongue weight might be a little more than you need right now?

It pulls great now I only trailer it 10 miles a year to storage in the winter and back to the water in the spring I may play with it next year thanks for the info!
