Agreed. I picked it up for pennies on the dollar and still ahead of the general market. I have no plans on selling and it gets the job done. Plans are to solidify the engine, buff out the gel coat, throw in a rug, and call it good. But even at that I still really really enjoy the boat.

That's all that matters, that you enjoy it!

Matworks can hook you up on the carpet for as cheap as you'll get. Fountain of youth has compuond that will out perform anything 3M or aqua buff has for cheap also. Good luck

How did you prop testing go? That is assuming you're better off than I am and have actually gotten out.

I only made it out with the same beat up M+ 23, but got 54mph instead of the previous best of 48 with the same prop. Hopefully I can make it out this weekend with the Rev4 23p that has been tuned and balanced as well.

Just how much would those stock manifolds snuff that 502 cam and oval port edelbrock heads?

I am having some trouble with my drive going up, so maybe there is a chance that I'm not getting things trimmed out as much as I thought. Today I lowered the drive but it won't go back up. The solenoid clicks, but life from there. The trim gauge has been pegged out since the day I got it as well.

Trim gauge most likely runs off of a cable that hooks to ram type thing on one of your trim rams. Cable tends to seize up over time and has to be replaced, usually a 33C cable.

As far as it going back up I can only think to check fluid level in reservoir for trim pump, otherwise it may be something a little more costly...

The trim may be your issue too.
If you could you might be able to cheat a little?... Use your trim and trailer button at the same time but don't go too far or you will throw a rooster tail. Just watch your wake and when it starts to boil and get wide looking stop....you go any further and it will go rooster on you.
Anyways I think the cooler temps might of had an effect on mine yesterday, with 2 adults and 2 children 1 cooler and 1/4 tank of fuel I was able to hit 66 mph with mine.
