Dock - I see that Lucas is the red color, so is mine, his name is Jake. I really like that color in goldens they call it a field red. He is my only child, my wife was a little apprehensive at getting a dog when we first got one, but now Jake is like her son. I read a lot about you on this page and notice that you trailer your boat all over. Have you ever made it up to Lake of the Ozarks Missouri. If you haven't, you need to. Especially on Memorial Day, July 4th and Labor Day. I'm sure you would love to see the Shootout which is the weekend before Labor Day every year also. People and boats from all over come to see it, Miss Budweiser is there also. There are some awesome boats down at Lake of the Ozarks, yours would fit right in. My wife and I have a condo down there, people are real friendly, we go down every weekend and tie up with other people in coves. Let me know when you are planning a trip and we could show you around. My one friend has a 38 Fountain and and another has 40' Maxum cruiser which is fun to tie up to. He always has some hot chicks on his boat. Good scenery.

Eric,
I have never been to LOTO. Maybe this coming year will be the time. I will talk to the wife and start considering it and get in touch with you. A buddy went a couple of months back and had a blast. I hear it is awesome.
Yeah, the dogs are like family. We also have a black Cocker about 1-1/2 years old and two cats. One of the cats is real buddies with the golden. I will have to post a picture of them sleeping side by side and the golden has his front leg over the cat.
Check out the Brag It Up Contest for November! I'm on a roll.

Congrats on the Nov. contest. You need to come to LOTO. I'm from St. Louis, Mo. which is about 21/2 hours from Loto. If you end up going, I would recommend renting a Condo. There are tons of condos right on the water with docks. Let me know when you decide to come because there are plenty of condos for rent in our complex, some of the people who rent their condos out have 40' slips so your boat will be out of the weather. I only have a 28' slip so my boat sticks out about 1 1/2 feet. We are right at the 20 1/2 mile marker, Shooters a huge bar on the lake is right around the corner. The shootout takes place right in front of our cove and Shooters. As far as a drive it is for you, I would recommend staying a week. The weekends are packed and on the week days the water is like glass. Loto is unlike any lake I have seen, you can virtually drive your boat anywhere to go to a bar, restaurant, etc. and not have to worry about shallow water. There are tons of bars and restaurants right on the water with docks. My wife and I are pretty normal people who like to drink beer and hang out. Let me know when you decide to come. It will be worth the drive. My e-mail address is [email protected]
