I saw your running a 23, a mirage I presume... I'd try a 22 Bravo 1 four blade. I changed from a 23 three blade to a 22 four blade on my 272 and really like it. I lost a couple mph on top end, but out of the hole and mid range improved dramatically.

I have a 1997 240 with a 454 (stock). Presently, I am running a 24p four blade bravo. I also have a 23p mirage plus. I use the four blade almost all the time. Better midrange and start. The 23 p has a terrible midrange, but is about 3 mph faster. I have never tried a 22p four blade, maybe I need to try that. For over all performance the four blade is better on my boat.
