H2Xmark,

My comments were for Bashers in general. Not directed at any one person or at any one thread or post!

I hear you loud and clear, I'm just very tired of Bashers in general.

Well it was my thread that started all this. I am not the one that made the comments and they don't bother me at all. It is just funny how all this gets started. I choose the Scarab because I know the original owner and the price was right, I was in the market for a 29 outlaw but I can not touch one for what I paid for this scarab. I only posted something to the list because I had to tell someone, no one in our local area knows I bought the boat yet. I was just excited and couldn't wait to tell someone... I guess it added a little excitement to the holiday season. I like to hear about other people getting new/used boats so I thought someone might to hear about what I got, brand x y or z does not matter to me.

The boat has Bravo's with external steering, tie bar, mech. trim indicators, nose cones, stainless headers, big K planes, and new flame arrestors. i agree it is a little slow, 69 GPS, that is with unlabbed stock props and the original computer mapping so I think there is a little more speed to be had.

Have good luck with the new boat...I love boating no matter what (even sailing but I get seasick ). I TRY to never throw the first stone.

ALL boats have some redeeming qualities. If you can afford one and it makes you happy you are truly blessed. I have the absolute best boat! (for me of course)

I just figured I'd put a LITTLE dig back at Joe. No harm intended. Joe's comment was very light.

I really just don't like bashers and wish they would register www.offshoresucks.com and stay there.

Nice Scarab! Id be proud as hell to own that boat! Post some pics here when you get some new ones.

I agree, Joes post was light, I think just giving the new owner a hard time.

Now, the dude that goes by "jb" is quite the jackass. Ive seen his posts before and according to his profile, the dude doesnt even have a boat, yet he's a hardcore BAJA basher. Just read his post on that thread for starters..........

Hey guys, well Dock you are right, after reading your post i can see where you did not direct it at any one person unlike some other people, and I hope i did not get out of line with my post, if so I am sorry about that. And i agree about the Basher's that are constantly talking trash, they need to find another home, Joe was just playing a bit with the new guy, it was all in fun. I think this winter weather is getting to me!!! I need to hit the water,

That's pretty good on that Scarb speed 69. My firends is a 2002 and only tops at 65 with 350s and Bravos.

Like the graphics too.

Tsteph:

I think your Scarab is a great looking boat. Never owned a Scarab, but I always did think they look cool, and yours seems to be a primo example. I like my Baja, but if the right deal came along on a Scarab or even a Fountain, I would have to consider it. That doesn't mean that a person has to own it for the rest of their life. Like Doc, I am also tired of the needless Baja bashing by a certain few individuals.

If they don't like Baja boats, that's fine with me, but don't tell me that because I do like them that I'm second class!

By the way, tsteph, most people can't tell the difference between 69 or 75mph by watching a boat, so I wouldn't sweat it, if I were you. 69 is quite respectible without spending mucho $ for more hp.

Not me! Still here. I like visiting the forums of the boats I have owned....or might like to own. I have 6 years of experience in two Brand B's. No bashing here. Just interested in what's going on. And throwing my .02 in now and then.

BTW, since this thread is really about the 29 Scarab....we have a club member with one for sale (single 502). He bought a Donzi ZF and would love to move it.
