Flood 02-05-2002 10:12 PM

1994 Shooter 454 meg.& a 1974 blonda 115lbs. 5'6" riding shotgun. :D I'm one very lucky guy.

jdnca 02-05-2002 10:51 PM

Had a 93 Bandit with 502 mag. lots of motor work, full port heads, dart intake, 1050 dominator, solid roller cam. Boat ran 80 on radar. Great looking hull, but rode very rough. my understanding is the 90-92 models were even worse. Stepped up to a 26 carrera cat for a great ride and lots of speed.

WETTE VETTE 02-07-2002 05:33 PM

I've had my 1990 210ESS since 1995. It started life as a nice 330 HP 65 MPH ride. Currently it sports a 496" chev., 13:1 compression, ported Dart 325 pro 1 heads,CMI exhaust, comp solid roller cam, jesel rockers, MSD ignition, Nickerson stage 5 1050 carb, WPM full hydraulic steering, and a 2" short bravo 1.5 gears. It twists a 29" Spimelli 4 blade 6200 rpm for a best radar run of 95.8 mph. You'd better be a driver to handle this one!

JCBOATS CHECKING IN!!!

I HAVE HAVING WAY TO MUCH FUN WITH YOU GUYS ON THE SITE!!!!

Budman 02-21-2002 03:23 PM

I'm #100!! What is my prize?

:D Might as well take it to an even 100!! What is my prize for being the 100th post? I think a new 33 Outlaw would do nicely!

I have a 1988 Force 235. Ditched the old 350 Mag/Alpha last year and repowered with a .030/454 - mild cam, worked-over heads, etc. Also added a '96 model Bravo. Not dialed in yet, but ran low 60's at the end of the summer before I hit that stump

Hopefully my luck will be better this year!

p.s. - Love the cockpit/cabin room on the old Force models - and a fridge to keep the beer cold. An extra 5 feet of hull would be nice, though!

thisistank 02-21-2002 04:12 PM

Dude, you get the absolute privlage of owning one of the best boats on the market aaaaaaaaaaaand being the lucky 100th baja owner on the OSO board. Wait till you tell all of your friends, they will all be jelous...I can hear it now, "I wish I was the 100th baja owner on the OSO board!!" ;) :D :D :D :D

'99 Boss 252 here 454 MAG MPI 385HP

SledgeHammer 03-01-2002 10:05 PM

New to the Board, and just picked up my first Baja in December. Haven't even driven it yet. It is a 2001 Hammer with a 454 MPI.
Looking forward to getting on the Mississippi soon. If any of you have any suggestions for beginning mods, I am all ears. I am already looking for more speed and haven't driven it yet. I hear I may see 70 on the speedo, but radar more likely will be 65-66. Just need to stay away from the radar I guess.

garshev 03-02-2002 12:13 PM

My third baja is a 33 outlaw w/500efi's. I started with a 91 bandit
with a 502 that went like crazy. Bought a new 25 in 98 with a 502
that rode unbelievably but was a little poky. Last year a 33 was
my latest , the ride is unbelievable and the boat she does rock!!

Second turn Baja owner here...first was a 1994 22 Caliber w/ a carbed 7.4...just bought a 1998 Boss 272 w/ a 502 Mag MPI. Here's the new boat.

CFD5 03-11-2002 07:21 PM

NotTOOBAD, Your on the same path as me. My first boat was a 94 22 Caliber w/ 454 carb. 2nd boat was a 1997 272 w/ 502 mag, now on my third in three years. 2001 25 Outlaw 496magHO. I loved my 272, dealer sold it in about a week from trade in.

NotTOOBAD 03-12-2002 12:36 PM

CFD...Funny, I bought my 22 Caliber from a guy in Ohio and had it trucked down here about 3 years ago. Don't think too many of those boats made it far from home...you don't see many of them down here.

That was a great boat with a 7.4 in it...would run with alot of bigger boats (in the smooth stuff!!). Can't wait to get into the season and see how the 272 does.

Riverrunner 03-13-2002 12:09 AM

24 outlaw

Riverrunner checking in.If the motor starts I will
have a 96 24 outlaw sst by thursday.Still have a
180 islander if any ones interested.:D :D

CFD5 03-13-2002 07:58 AM

NotTOOBAD, Did you buy the 22 from Captains Cove marina in Cincinnati? If so that was mine, it has been about 3 years since I sold the boat. I loved the 272. Handles ALOT better than the 22. I had my 22 caliber up in lake Erie at Put-in-Bay and got caught in a storm over by Cedar point. Got pretty nasty but the little 22 handled it suprisingly well.

bajacrazy 03-13-2002 07:59 AM

New to the board, been veiwing for some time now. Veiwing helps me from going stir crazy from winter. Secound boat first Baja, just picked up late in October, test drove it for 1-1/2 hrs. and had to put it up for winter. 2001 H2X Boss

NotTOOBAD 03-13-2002 10:43 AM

CFD...Nope the 22 Caliber acme from a private owner over toward Canton (can't remember the exact town). I'll have it up on the for sale page later this week.

So why the move from a 272 to a 25 Outlaw? Do you see much difference in ride/performance? I looked at Outlaws too, just happened to find the 272 at the right time.

rebs24baja 03-13-2002 09:43 PM

How Many BAJA Owners

:D From the new kid on the block with an oldie but goodie!!:D Mine is a 1988 240-sport W/rebuilt 454 approx 550 HP Getting 74-mph on speedo. Engine done b-4 I got it. Going to test with GPS in spring. Also looking to change prop. Any advice out their !! This is my 4th boat but my first BAJA . sorta a dream come true if you know what I mean. Have not been on OSO very long but you guys are great and a little crazy!!! BUT I GUESS SPEED CHANGES YOU --- GIVE ME TIME !!!:D :p

CFD5 03-13-2002 11:19 PM

NotTOOBAD, I loved the 272 but I had some problems with it, it think it was just my bad luck. I was actually looking at getting a cat but I have friends who run the Baja dealer in Lake Cumberland KY, and my wife and I saw the 25 and had to have it. It rides totaly different than the 272. Deeper V so it rides better in the rough. I had the 502mag in the 272 and could only get about 65-66 out of it, and it got squirly at 65. I was planning on a supercharger but i didn't think it could handle it. The 25 has a 496magHO and runs 70 on GPS and I plan on adding a procharger in the future. Both boats are excellent, the 25 just suited my needs better. They are the same size though, outlaw is measured w/o the swim platform.

Allan4 03-14-2002 08:37 PM

IS that you oh worthy Mr. November....HeHeHe......

CFD5 03-14-2002 08:45 PM

Hey A4, Where the hell you been? I read your post about the motor. You better get that thing in this summer so we can run. Already had Hadleys boat out twice, Give me a call if you need any help. Later

Zoom3 03-15-2002 02:07 PM

I know we're past 100 on Baja owners, but do we have a count on how many repeat owners ? Sounds like quite a few . Ken240 and I started small with a 1992 204, bright yellow hull with white/grey/blk stripes. Now we have the 1988 Sport 240 (pictured earlier).

But the big question is where to go from here.........
