Iam a very proud owner of a boss 272 Baja. we have raced this boat in 6 A.P.B.A. pro series events, with 2 4th, 1 3rd, 1 2nd, and 2 wins. We are now steping up our racing program for the 2002 racing season.

1998 24 Outlaw, ***** 7.4 300 hp.....looking at big HP in just a few short months, you guys know the scoop by now.

You know, I'm going thru with this project, but I'm really sick and tired of getting my asskicked during a Poker runs or rough days on the River. Now......we all know the hang up. Cash-eesh. I see myself in a 29 Outlaw with in the next 18 mos or so. Pull my 509, build it a brother 509 and run 600 hp a side.....Sounds fun. Now I just need to fined one that's not rigged....that might be a little hard.

Warren, sounds like a lot of fun, plus sounds like you have had success. Good for you, i would really like to go racing someday, maybe in a car though. I think about it constanty, but bad timing right now for me.

Another 24 outlaw owner here. 1994 model, 454mag. I love it. I will eventually get something bigger, but for my first powerboat it is a BLAST. Ready for the poker runs to start up again next year!!!! Andy :cool: :cool:

yes Baja Daze we were in St. Pete. We finshed 3rd behine 2 F1 boats that droped down to our class, but we have some big plans for these guys next year.

hello Baja Boss; Yes we were in Washington NC last year. We also won that race after the 1st and 2nd place boats were DQ. But hey a win is a win.

29 Outlaw owners, I am looking, many months away however, at upgrading to a 29. Can you give me a bit of info as far as power, speed, handling, and overall opinion of the boat. How does it handle hard water. At what speed does the hull become uncomfortable. How much power have you read about or seen run through a 29 and at what speeds. Do you have K planes or hydro steering. Any thing else you can think of would be great. I am peaking around right now, not ready to buy, but gathering info in my brain. Thanks a bunch for your help, much obliged........Out.

This is my second Baja, had a 232 boss with a 502 sold it to a great guy in NY! Hi Cliff. He is still having a ball with it. I built the engine and re-rigged the boat, Baja's idea of rigging SUX! I now have a 29 outlaw with 454 mag carb engines, the rigging SUX in it also, so I am in the process of re-rigging it as well. I had a K-plane fail this summer from a bad eletrical Butt joint, easy to fix HARD AS HELL TO FIND! Its a production boat, people that put it togeather do not give a ****, its a pay check. Not a bad boat, just not what I would build. So take it apart and put it back the way you want it!!! Winter work; Replacing the exhaust system, re-doing the wiring and changing to stainless steel nuts & bolts. Love the boat though, 70 mph any time, any water, and with 6 of your best friends!! Not sure what I would get next, but a Hustler 388 gives me a real good woddy!

I'm checking in. I own a '99 29' Outlaw with 454 Mags. I love the boat. I have had the X-dimension raised from the factory 1 1/2 inches. The best speed to date is 77 mph.

I'm on my third Baja too :D and none of them bigger than 20' :eek: Oh well, someday I'll move up with the big dogs :D

Hey EWB what kind of HP you got in that boat? Top speed?

Tank, I fly out for Cincy Sat the 1st at about 11am pt. My visit is for some rather odd reasons, so my schedule is going to be pretty wierd. I will explain it if I talk to you. I am staying at the AirPort Hilton, not sure if that is good or bad :D :D

If you are busy, don't worry about tracking me down, I know it's a pain in the a$$ to do that sort of thing when the schedule is full. However, if you are going to the motor guy and have some extra time, I'd love to go, but again, not sure what my schedule is going to be like. Mine is a 1990 250ES. Great first boat we picked up a couple years ago...super clean and dependable, but maybe there is something different out there in the future.

Present!! I have a Whipplecharged 95 24 Outlaw. Much more fun boat with some H.P. under the hatch. Runs 72 on GPS fully loaded. Still playing with props. Ran out of season--Oh well there's always next year!! :D

On my fifth Baja in 5 years. Now a 1999 36 Outlaw currently for sale. Baja makes great looking boats and for the money, they can't be beat. My 36 is loaded as a cuatom audio showcase (about $9000 worth) Has extended warranties thru April 2004. Please pass along my number if anyone is interested. (813)882-8477. :eek:
