WOW now thats a story to tell. Anyway I was thinking you need a sponsor for the big long distance race. Call UPS, tell them you will paint the boat brown and put a big UPS shield logo on the forward deck. Along the side you can put the fastest ship in the shipping business, and then you can do the commercials instead of Dale Jarred. Now thats a great idea.

Nice new avatar T.B. Is that the Top Banana or just the same boat but renamed hard to tell in that little photo? Oh and the model is sweet. Any info on the shirts and decals you talked about a while back? Also could you maybe shed some light into the fastest banana thread? Thanks agian for all your great stories and info. I know we all really love being able to talk to "The Man" about our boats and hear the first hand stories about the good old days of racing that made them what they are.

Thanks....You can get a much better look at that photo by going to my photos or to the photos posted today and on the race shots posted today and then click to enlarge.
My son and I are going to open up a new website after the first of the year and we are going to try to get a registry going of all known banana boats.....for all those people that register with us, we will send them a T-shirt and a banana decal set for their boat. The old ones we found were rather ....well, old....so we couldn't send them out and keep the same high quality image we always felt we had......so we ordered new ones.
I'll add some insight to the fastest banana thread from my own experience.
