I have read this thread from the beginning, I live in Auckland, New Zealand, I purchased a GPS speedo from Trick Marine 2 years ago, no problems with the transaction and I also received a T-shirt. What I am trying to say is that guys like me from overseas make purchasing decisions on feedback placed on sites like this, I feel it is important that all feedback is placed, the vendor has always got the right to respond.

I will quit posting after this one.. on this Trick BS.. BUT. "kiwiracer"... my bud.. this is the problem here. NOOOO F''ing responce from this dude. I bet all the OSO guys are just dying for a blurb, a boo or anything from Fred.:angry-smiley-038:

To start with, I have not read this entire thread so I apologize if my comments are repetitive.
To start, look at the mortgage mess the country is in. In many cases, the homeowners were betting on increased future funds. Fred was likely planning on keeping this business flowing cash while working on other deals to carry the mail. If significant sales volume drops in any or all the businesses you are screwed. Throw in the limited opportunity to borrow additional capital due to weak balance sheets...here we are.
At least give Fred credit for being a risk taker; doing your own deal isn't easy and most don't make it.
Sorry about your problems Fred, Merry Christmas to all!

Ben -

You have read the whole thread and the others right?
Sorry about your problems Fred???

To hell with Fred, he has all the money from the guys on this board and many others. It's the consumers that are out money you should be sorry for...not the thief!

I will be filing suit against them this week. We will try to prove fraud. I expect to never see a dime back, but my conscience won't let me walk away.

fraud in the inducement
n. the use of deceit or trick to cause someone to act to his/her disadvantage, such as signing an agreement or deeding away real property. The heart of this type of fraud is misleading the other party as to the facts upon which he/she will base his/her decision to act. Example: "there will be tax advantages to you if you let me take title to your property," or "you don't have to read the rest of the contract-it is just routine legal language" but actually includes a balloon payment.

Greed is a powerful thing isn't it? Guys saw a chance to buy what they thought was a steal from a kid. They were willing to phuck over each other by offering more money etc.

When it turns out not to be such a steal, the kid gets a high tech lynching before he even has a chance to respond.

This could have easily been handled privately. Hyper didn't get the only black eye in this deal. A few of you don't look to great either.

I got screwed on a couple of items. Since it's been over 6 months from the date of the charges to my CC, the CC company will not let me dispute the transactions. Maybe I can write it off on my taxes this years as a theft/personal loss. I noticed on the website all email, address and contact info is now removed.

can this be considered mail fraud and pursued on a federal level
