i traded my cat for this foutnain. I didnt write down the registration numbers on the bill of sale. I had the hull/vin id and i had the trailer id.

Yep thats the guy i got the boat from. I never put it in my name so thats who it is still registered to. I have my bill ofsale where i got it from him and I just spoke with Richard and he said he still has his bill of sale etc if i need any information from him to verify that the boat is mine.

I dont think thats the hull ID #....its the old registration numbers that the previous owner had when HE registered it. Aparently still registered in his name ?

It amazes me that you had this boat for about 6-7 months...and never insured it...never registered it in your name ? You obviously were planning on keeping it, cause you were looking for faster motors...and or blowers/superchargers for it. You had it out numerous times...still registered to the previous owner in Texas ? Is your family tree a wreath ?

1) Did you title the boat in your name ?

2) Did you re-register the boat in your name ?

3) Was the boat insured by you ?

4) Did you take the boat out numerous times ?

Correct. That field copied over but it was blank.

He has already admitted that he never transferred the title into his name. If he didn't transfer the title he didn't re-register the boat in his name either. He also said that the boat wasn't insured, but I don't know if he was driving it around...
