I have dealt w/ this seller many times, almost a span of 10 years. I have had zero issues. I understand the concern here though. I personally would have a tough time buying a motor w/o it running, much less not seeing it. Definitely risk involved w/ motors. Not excusing anything...don't know all the details. If this is a forum to state opinions, then that is all I am doing. I've had good experieces w/this seller for some time.

First of all I would like to say that I do not know anyone in this thread or any of the parties involved in this situation. I would like to say that I have been ripped off from the internet before and I know the feeling. Not for 1000k$ but still its the same whether its 1$ or 10000000$. But if I were you (lil red) I would call the seller, he has posted in here to call him and try to talk it out and figure out something to do to take care of the situation like adults. Dont be like little kids and not try to talk via phone or in person. If the seller then still tells you to f off, then I would report your findings on the motor, how the seller handled the situation when confronted, and what the outcome of it was. I would think that would hurt him more if he were to ever try to sell anything ever again as people would know what he did if there ever was a problem in the sale. I have handled situations both ways where I blasted the person on the internet and have confronted them in person. Confronting them in person will get you alot more results then just posting on the net. If nothing is resolved via on phone/personal meeting, then I feel you have the right to blast them via the net..
Finally I feel like the seller should be refunding the buyers money as long as the seller gets his stuff back, and the seller should be fronting the shipping price and saving the buyers another long trip.
Hope you guys get it resolved.

I hope this all gets settled.
I see one option to settle this especially after one already go f.;ck myself.
1. Refund money and shipping cost.

The ad reads 468 super clean, zero hrs, balanced @ mesa balancing.

I questioned the seller and through the buyer was told to go f.;ck myself. "Hey what's the deal with this motor you sold kyle? It's a 330 at best and it's not fresh the exhaust ports have carbon in them. He bought it because you said it was a 425hp 468. It's got 1014156 heads that are peanut ports. Is the bottom end old 330 cast junk?"

#1 A member for 11 years probably knows a lot about motors and what he's looking at and selling...

Again most likey knew the motor was not what the builder said it was because it was going in pantera24's boat but instead of confronting the builder, he decided it would be easier to sell it instead. Only makes since.

Y'all probably know that I know this person, gonna stay out of this, but I have a feeling he may have gotten taken also, by the builder. I witnessed this motor on a pallet, not touched since being returned from builder, and the selller had no reason to lie to me about it as I know it was built to go into his Pantera, and also have contact with the builder and balancer.

The buyer is a long way away great, I can unload this motor on him and I'll be done with it and he can go f.;ck himself. Only makes since

I am sure if it was a local deal, that would not be an issue, the seller IS an honest guy, just may not have known for sure what the motor really was. Problem is the distance now.

What difference does it make if the engine was bought for 1800 or 1000? If it was said to be this and this, turns out an old stocker is all it is, you still misrepped the ad. :/

Nope.......the pix from buyer & quoted description of seller aren't enough ?
Hes not a member.
But is a very close friend of lil red & family.
Lil red let him use his pickup to get the items bought & does or helps with all his mechanical work.

Angel is supposed to contact the actual buyer today to explain / come to terms.

Hope it works out for everybody involved

I wanted angel to put his thoughts here so everyone could see and there would never be any misunderstanding or mis quoting. I called him yesterday, talked to him as I took the motor apart. I love how people think things should be covered up by the seller "taking care of it". Really? So just make an attempt to resolve and forget it ever happened? He has made an offer at somewhat of a resolution. Now we'll see what happens.

i gotta go with lil red on this one .i drove to conn this morning to pick a trailer from him .while i was there i actually saw the motor in question ,def peant port heads and they are rotted as well. by no means a valve job done .as far as the pistons they are all carbon .i pulled some lifters and they looked very good .motor has def got some time on it .what really puzzles me is its just a low hp peanut port motor w small rods and cast crank .why so much hype on the balance job and why do it ???.i know both these guys and trust me they arent out lookin to put stock 330s in their rides
