I agree that he shouldn't be allowed to sell here.
Also, I think he should be left an accurate feedback detailing this BS.

Interceptor 10-29-2014 09:40 AM

Commandersander seems to lack some common sense. His huge error with this transaction in attempting to portray the buyer as the bad guy was dumb. This while he's trying to liquidate a bunch of boat parts in the swap section. Going back to his misfortune when he had the towing incident also showed his lack of comon sense, why would you operate your boat without insurance ? Dumb !

pasquesi 10-29-2014 10:27 AM

The seller is an a s s h o l e. Period. To advertise that rusted useless inverter as NIB is preposterous. He didn't even have the common sense to take 5 minutes with Windex and a paper towel to clean the unit up a little. This guy would be banned from the entire site if were in my control.

I posted earlier I was done with this thread but I have to say I disagree with this portion of your reply
Just because a guy misrepresnted something and tried to twist the facts there are other manners of addressing it such as feedback score or starting a thread detailing the situation.
I don't hold anything against him except misrepresentation and stubborness of owning up.
However if there was something he was selling I'd make double dog sure there were many pictures before I commited to the purchase, and if it happened again then such a drastic action as banning should be considered.

Another fine example of why clear pictures should be a requirement in the swap shop.

Speedracer29 10-29-2014 04:35 PM

I'd like to apologize to daleroger for jumping on the bandwagon before hearing both sides of the story.

Secondly, I'd suggest the following simple 3 step process to anyone selling in swap shop.

1. Take a good look at what you're selling, get introspective, then ask yourself- "self, is this item a hunk of crap?.
2. List item condition appropriately. If its used, dirty, missing parts, or generally crappy, indicate such.
3. Follow through on things like shipping and communication.

You know whats funny but it ain't???
When I got burned as a seller there were good pic's posted and an accurate description.
It was simply an individual who milked it with a sob story of poor me I got burned.
Anyone who follows this board will remember this thread and that's what counts.

Note to Admin I'd suggest a sticky for members who have been caught with their britches down as a seller or buyer who stiffed a seller.
Post not only the screen name but their real name and the name of their hometown, this will assist members who don't follow the forums frequently by looking at the thread which always stays up before closing a deal.

For me, its a character thing. I my humble opinion, anybody who clearly tried to pass off a rusty piece of garbage as new in the box, then starts this nonsense thread, needs to go elsewhere. Onbiously not a good person. Yeah, I know, you guys went boating with him yada yada. Who cares. He tried to F somebody, and then tired to be clever when his pants were caught down.

Dale Rodgers this sucks, I cane out for rich in the beginning of this, but it I would still have to go by the the fact that he tried to hook me up to see some cool stuff while I was in fla earlier this month. I don't know any facts of this situation but he did good by a nobody from 3000 miles away just because. I sincerely hope things work out.

tommymonza 10-29-2014 08:08 PM

From all I have heard from the people that know Rich they say he is a good guy.. I also heard that the buyer got a little chitty with him in the beginning and that is why he is taking his position in this way. Not saying his position is right.. Just what I had heard.

Rich send the guy back his 200 bucks and a shipping label if you want the item returned and call it done.

US1 Fountain 10-29-2014 08:39 PM

The buyer paid for the control panel and did not receive it.

By refusing to ship it out, that makes him a thief. The rest of the details are a moot point, IMO.

I agree a full refund or the 'working' control panel should be shipped to Dale.

Tommymonza,

There is hearing from the people that know Rich, and reading what actually happened. There is no hearsay. I never spoke to him. ALL the communication is documented in this thread, including the original PM's between us, where I told him I wanted to keep this private. If you take a look at the pictures, you'll see why I got a little chitty. I really don't want the control panel at this point, ( if he really has it at all ), because if the thing doesn't work, then here we go again.
If you read post 58, that is the ACTUAL and total communication. That's it. After that, he started this thread, and I responded.
Also, Thanks for the support guys, I really appreciate it. It's worth more than the 200.
Dale

I'd get a little sh!tty too if I paid $200 for a POS part like was sent and described as NIB and the seller was MIA for 2 weeks after the purchase. You as a seller have an obligation to be available after the purchase to make sure the the buyer receives what was promised and assist with any actions necessary to ensure both parties are satisfied with the transaction.

huskyrider 10-30-2014 09:48 AM

Dale your a better man than me, After being ran through the wringer on this fiasco I'd of mailed the part back USPS with a demand letter for a refund.
Then if he didin't come through flush the money as a loss then trash him on the board.
The second portion of this he did to himself by initiating the thread.
I'm curious, is he sending you the controller to make the unit work?
If so, good for him and for you I hope it works as it should as that's how it was represented.

See ya,
Kelly

two months later, just catching up, better late then never though.

How did this end, did Dale receive his money back, or did Captain Shady send the parts to complete the crusty inverter? Did the inverter ever really work? inquiring minds want to know..

# 2 i sell a lot on ebay mainly harley parts well over $130.000 this year so i know how the system works ..i hate when pay pal gets involved they usually side with the buyer ive been there .so im sure when pay pal got involved he figured he was done (i know the feeling ) plus he says he was out of town at 1 point
# 3 the right thing would have been get his # and give him a call and work it out over the phone ..hell with rich ill bet you guys would have been talking for hours
boats and such
# 4 now im no commander sander cheerleader by any means .however he has bought parts from me i remember him buying power bolster seats from me said he would take them give me your bank of america acct # and ill make a dep in your acct he set up shipping told me take your time getting it ready for p/u .
Another time he had an item on here for sale i wanted. However he needed some hyd steering parts and he knows i part boats so he shipped the part to me with the thought we would swap some stuff however i never got any ..he waited a year never asked once for his $450.00 until he recently parted out his 357
himself . You will find rich is a man of principle not a guy out to rip you off for a lousy $200
so i say give rich a call straighten it out put it in the past
just my 2 cents rant over

amen gordon!! +1

Here I go again . I sell stuff on eBay , take some 8 meg pics , write my spiel , someone deposits money I send item generally very boring but it works well . But buying and selling here ,I want to be able to say I need a pic of this or send you pic of that and its cool to get a little history of it all . Had a guy here PayPal me money for a procharger intercooler ,before I boxed it up decided to pressure test it and damn if it didn't leak .returned his money and said sorry .wouldnt of wanted to go through that using p.m

Well, someone on powerboat swap mentioned this fiasco, so I came back to have a look . Fact is, Rich Sander has not posted on here since Oct. 17, and has never contacted me. So, yes I still have his crusty non working inverter, and he has the money. If your interested in what happened, it is all documented in this lengthy post, and need not be rehashed again,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,unless of course you want to buy a NIB Xantrex inverter, LOL
So, Merry Christmas guys, I enjoy this site everyday.
Dale

Wow, what a piece of work, this guy is the biggest mouth on here and he's screwing people. cannot believe rich sander's has not paid up. wow

ezstriper 12-18-2014 03:55 PM

you would have to return the goods and have a receipt showing that before you would refunded thru paypal...

Urethane. Some fill the air voids in troublesome rubber motor mounts with it. Oh, not boat one's that I know of.....before I give the wrong idea.

Will it rewind CD's also ? I get tired looking at old photos backwards

daleroger 12-20-2014 10:41 AM

I didn't know they made those,,,,,,,,,,,I've been throwing them away when they get to the end. But, I know now you're just trying to get my NIB inverter for free, because I have discovered if you put them in upside down, they start from the beginning !
