I posted what a joke his response was but decided to delete because anyone with any sense can see this is a joke.
Too bad for the buyer. Seller makes mistakes and he suffers. |
If I was more computer literate I would link up what rich tried to do for me a couple weeks ago when we were in Ft. Meyers beach. I'm a small town guy and if someone does me right, or goes out of their way for my benefit, then I have their back ! Hope this ends so all parties satisfied.

I am most of the time the nicest guy in the world and 99 percent of the time I would say yes to anything if someone asked me or needed me to help them out or do a favor.
My exwife always said I was too nice and could never say no when in reality I should have. My young employees I had back in the days that were also my friends off work called me a Sucker because of the the way I would go out of the way to help someone in need. So enough about the good Now the Bad I can be irritably noncommunicative If I feel I am entitled to it. Which in the last 5 years has become a ritual It came from my dad being in the building development business and the phone ringing nonstop until we sat down for dinner and than we dialed 4 and left it off the hook for an hour and from there on he picked it up until 1130 when johnny Carson came on. But I am a nice guy.Anyone that knows me will tell you This is how we see it. The buyer wishes to purchase your inverter that you were selling on your posts here to defend your boat sinking. A Gentleman here inquires about it and the 2 of you come to an agreement of 200 dollars, but he would pay the shipping. We do not know the payment arrangements or if you mentioned it needs the control board to the buyer. The buyer makes the payment and assumes he Is going to receive a useable inverter with in a few days of him paying you as you had told him you would ship as soon as his payment was received ? After the time period that the buyer thought was reasonable had expired to receive the inverter the buyer contacts you and you apologize and say that you have been busy and have not shipped it yet Buyer is patient with you and accepts your offer to pay the 35 dollar shipping to ship it out assuming he is now going to receive a functioning inverter.. Buyer receives the inverter and it is a bit dirtier than he had hoped for but the kicker is it is missing the control panel so it does not function. The buyer than tries to contact you to make arrangements to straighten the situation out, but for one reason or another that is not important now ,you do not communicate with him in a timely manner. The buyer than takes the matter up with paypal figuring you have dropped dead or something since the lack of communication in the hopes he will get his money back or some satisfaction. You the seller after seeing the hold on your paypal account chose to go on here and present a small problem to the site instead of calling him and offering to do whatever you can do to make him happy because A.you shipped it late and B. you shipped it missing a component so it will not function. You at no time were ever put out . The 35 dollars for the shipping is on you for not shipping it in the timely manner you had affirmed with the buyer. Water under the Bridge. Your offer of a 100 bucks is a little to little to late as the saying goes.As the buyer at this point has chose that he would like his 200 back and to be done with the deal. Being the buyer is a fellow OSO member and doesn't appear to be in the scamming business as either are you, I would give the man the benefit of a doubt and give him his 200 , and another 35 for him to ship it if you want it back. Remember he did nothing wrong . He paid you the agreed upon price You did not ship in a timely manner and than forgot to ship a component to make it functional and than you were out of communication for him to contact you on the matter. Hey, Just me and that's the way I see it , and the way I would handle it Nobody's perfect and believe me buddy I am far phuckin from it But some days you have to take your beatings for it. In the end it all works out. |

Yep, well put tommy.
Complete dick move to continue to jack this buyer off. Give the guy his full payment back and add 35 bucks if you want the incomplete item back. This is supposed to be a brotherhood! Take care of your brother and next time you foul up a transaction, take care of it without a lame drama thread. |

You sold the guy an incomplete inverter, shipped it late, didn't answer correspondences, started a drama thread and refuse to refund the man. The next move is to refund the buyer. Very, very simple! Isn`t commander sanders sueing 4bus for something too? Maybe it isn`t the "other" guy, maybe its you? |
To the buyer- In the future when the "new in the box" item arrives late, dirty, incomplete, 8yrs old and possibly not working will you please remember to cup balls while sucking in your attempt at a refund? To do otherwise causes sellers to grow tired of you and develope principals which they will use to deny making you whole and insult you in general discussion by starting a thread pretending to be the buyer that no one can even understand for the first page in an attempt to cover the fact they were the bad seller. They will do this while you still seem to be in private discussion with them and giving them 2 reasonable ways to make the situation go away. The initial goal of said thread will be help them rationalize the decision they've already made to tell you to f-off by portraying you as the scammer.
|
The funniest thing about this is the buyer did nothing wrong.....but the seller makes this stupid thread, BASED ON PRINCIPlE! That has to be the funniest thing I've ever heard.
Cliff notes: buyer lists something as complete, buyer agrees to price and pays, seller ships late, not complete, buyer can't get ahold of seller, buyer files a potential claim with PayPal, now seller is pissed and won't make things right. This is a joke. |

This one is titled hypothetical rip off, I completely assumed at some point there'd be hot skanks with ripped clothes, or a "which skank would you rather rip the clothes off" pictorial/survey. Nope! The brethren gotta quit concentrating on the petty things and start concentrating on the sweaty things, or we'll be off the rails by January. |

I understand the youthful enthusiasm, been there done that, hell ive only had like two or three jobs my whole life, self employed nearly since high school. in this biz you cant just tell people what your "going to do" you have to show them what you've already done, you have to put in your time. That thread should be a learning experiance, guess we'll see . . . . this thread?. . . . painful on multiple levels. skanks do make most threads better though :D |

Spoke with icu again about this today when he came by.....he told me to send the panel and be done.... My position has been been and remains about the principle of this.....ummm....gone awry transaction. Yes....I shipped late....and because of it, I paid shipping. Yes, the control panel is here.....mistakenly left out. I took a position of obstinance ONLY because he filed a claim PRIOR to attempting to communicate with me. Looked and felt very shady. In the end, I'm the bigger man. Dale has the inverter minus control panel. Dale or paypal has the money he sent, which by all means was never 200net to me.....the agreed price.... So, I have decided.....that I will not send the panel. Also, I will not refund the 200 paypal has. Additionally, I will not pay for return shipping. What I will do, only as a gesture of good faith as I harbor no Iill will in this..... Tomorrow, dale will receive a 100 paypud from me. With it, he can purchase a control panel, or minimize his alleged loss (I don't have his money....email from PC next) or go buy drinks. However, to keep the tally straight my brothers..... From this side.... Dale (or pay pal) has the original payment Dale has the inverter Dale had free shipping Dale is getting an additional 100 for me being a dick?......I guess? Almost done guys, but I can't let this B.S. stand. Mr. Sander posted the above B.S , then posted paypals notice that the funds were released to him. ( post 121 ) I just shake my head . $193.90 to be exact. The amount is the $200 less the paypal fee that he was going to add to the shipping, but decided not to, because he shipped it late. ( under the bridge ), but he keeps saying how I'm a dick, and he was shorted. For the actual record, Rich Sander DID NOT refund me the $100 as stated above, " to keep the tally straight my brothers . " Sanders Quote " In the end, I'm the bigger man ." God, could you be any more arrogant ? Should anyone care to check out the "bigger man's" , " NIB Inverter ", here is a link to what I received. http://s1374.photobucket.com/user/da...?sort=3&page=1 Geeez, based on some of the comments, some of you guys must light your cigars with $100 bills. I know I'm screwed, just wanting to keep it real. Thanks, Dale |

I don't think you should let this issue slide. IMO seller looked to take advantage of his perceived status on OSO to belittle your situation. Pretty obvious that was a poor decision, best result now is for seller to send you a prepaid ups label and make full restitution. An apology would be a bonus though not likely.

Disappointing to say the least.........A full refund is due Capt Sander . It is what it is bro and only a true friend will tell you when you have a booger hanging out of your nose .

Looks like it was taken off his sunk boat
Does it even work? |
The fact that the seller would flush his reputation over a couple hundred bucks makes me scratch my head.
Talk about a thread backfire. |
"POSIB" would have been a better description. I too would not have been happy receiving that given the item's description.

He should be Banned from selling his parts in the swap section, other people have been banned for the same thing.
