BEWARE of Coastal Marine Export Purchases

I notice that repeatedly in your responses you steadfastly avoid discussing the matter of falsely advertising a used & reworked prop as new. Thats shady AF and its pretty obvious you know it. Sounds like you got off with Amex on the first round through misdirection, I predict we're going to hear a happy outcome for the OP before long.Originally Posted by Coast Mar Exp

This customer received what he ordered and was told we do not offer any returns on propeller purchases which was clearly
noted on his invoice. He contacted us via email a week after his purchase and also after he was using the propeller.
We told him we do not offer any returns on propeller purchases. He then processed an Amex charge back for the purchase
which Amex reviewed and ruled in our favor. I'm sorry he's not happy with the charge back outcome and had to go and try to
discredit our company here and on social media.

Sounds like Mercury/Mercruiser is the root cause of this crap.
Blow the phone number up ask to speak to head of consumer affairs, if a Voice mail leave a message - There is a peddler selling Merc products dishonestly. And removing all applicable serial numbers and restamping used Merc props selling them as new.
https://www.mercuryracing.com/produc...nical-contact/
He is a peddler - back dooring Merc parts like he states all over the world - Shame Merc for allowing this to happen. - call them up and shame them for allowing this to happen to many boaters.
And for the boaters whom been to the address of the CC boat manu to buy your 5 finger discounted parts - you should post the address up here for your fellow boaters to help put a stop of being conned. . .
And for the record removing serial numbers from factory OEM parts is AGAINST THE LAW. Still can not believe you guys think that is ok cause you got a great deal off the peddler. The dude is a hack - I brought this info out 5 years ago and you guys jumped all over me for doing so. Told you so 5 years ago.. . The true colors are coming out after all. .
Call Merc all next week B I T C H like H E L L maybe they will finally listen to you guys because they can care less other wise. . .

Merc is no different than any mega corp or government for that matter - their only focus is $$$$$ and they make it by goods leaving the warehouses and that is the main business... ruffling a few feathers/ disappointed customers is part of the biz as long as numbers keep rolling in the right direction, its business as usual. (This is not to say that I don't believe they have a solid product line
As far as the retailer in question, its no different than your local dealership - they will get a visit maybe a few times a year by the Merc rep who asks how business is going and reviews the YTY numbers and they are off to the next retailer - all is good as long as the location is buying product

Being in business for seven years during an unprecedented boom time is not that difficult.

if enough is said about it merc will get involved. years back there was a builder that owed merc lots of money, they were getting their merc powerplants through another dealer in order to keep making boats. Rumor was Fred himself called the dealer and said if another serial number that we sell you shows up in one of their boats you will never sell another merc product. Selling new stuff with no numbers is wrong, everything he has done on this thread is wrong, yet people dont care because it saves them a few bucks.Originally Posted by speicher lane
