Just for the sake of it I'll chuck in my .02c worth , although on a slightly different vein .
A couple of years back I wanted to exchange my low hour (like 6 hours total time) SX/a single prop unit for a DPS/a duo prop. Made all the arrangements and shipped my unit back , it had to go ocean freight for the first leg and then truck to their location. They received it and then sent me the new unit.
The refund I eventually got on the original unit hardly covered the cost of shipping it back and in the end I should have just kept the damn thing as I basically paid to outright buy a new unit.
Oh , and the props were in cardboard boxes with NO lining or protection as though they were going to be carried from DR's shop to across the street by hand , not like they were going on a 1000 mile journey , and of course they both arrived damaged.
Your personal experience may vary though ...
