In the end most of the time I dock like a rockstar but sometimes I look like I bought a boat an hour ago.lol
Never fails that those ****ty docks are usually when everyone is watching and the rockstar docks nobody is around to see.

No $$it it never fails!! We have had people clapping once we are tied up, not sure it was the backing up show, or they were happy that we turned off the real loud A$$ motors!!

I agree 100%, I find how hard you hit the dock is directly proportional to how many people are watching!

Best advice,,,,,,,never approach a dock faster than you are willing to hit it !!!!!

everything else WILL WORK ITSELF OUT

I remember pulling into a slip in the Marina on the lift. I came in a little hot. My beak took out a cooler that was on the dock. Everyone was there, everyone clapped, except me of course lol

i dunno if it got said pgs 2 to 4, but the 2 engine thing-1 forward and 1 reverse-is more of a shaft boat thing where there is a significant distance between props. perf boats have 3 feet between engines. puts props 18 inches off boat centerline. not enough for much turning moment. twin i/o's i will reverse with outboard motor but it doesn't make much diff using either or both.

My boat with the props spinning in it reacts a lot better if I use the wheel to crab the boat or to spin it, but if I don't have any wind to contend with I can just use the shifters to spin but it takes longer.
