Call Scott at Speed and Custom Marine in Quincy, FL. Phone number 850-875-0381. He has a 496 HO that was ran hot and blown up. Maybe some parts you can use. Tell him Craig gave you his number.

My first engine in the ZT260 was a whippled 502 that made 760Hp on 93 octane and 800Hp on 110 octane. Top speed with 760Hp was 87mph and 90mph with 800HP. This was with a standard length mercury sportmaster 1.35 ratio and a bravo 26 pitch.

Hope that helps.

Been a while. Motor dynoed at 635hp/650ft lbs. torque. -2 shortie works well. 5000 rpms at 79 mph with 1.36 xr drive stock out of the box bravo 1 26. These numbers were disappointing due to cam selection mostly. So now M3 Procharger on the way.

First run with pro charger was 90 mph. Only made 2.5 lbs boost. Ordering new pulley to get it to 5lbs. Not a bad run for 2.5 lbs.

Was not bad. You have to drive it but it is not stupid. We will see with the 5lbs of boost.
