I wonder how one with twins would ride compared to a single? I had a 281 with a single and it rode really nice here on Erie. I like the way that boat rode and handled a lot.

It looks like the 350s leave a little more room to work but I'm thinking those will be real scarece?

there's a 2000 288 up in the 1000 Islands (Bonnie Castle Marina) with twin 350 magnums with no pics of the engines. it looks like a nice boat. Hard to figure out the value of checkmates though

I've seen that boat listed.. It's been for sale for quite a while.. I'm probably going to have to break down and put in some road time to look at some boats. I guess nobody is going to pull in my drive with the perfect boat at the perfect price.. Ha

i'm in the same boat (pun intended), constantly going back and forth on what I want. the problem I've got is the season is so short up here. But the checkmate boats are nice boats (I think better than Baja), but they don't seem to hold their value as well, have no idea why.

the boat up there, assuming it's in nice shape is attractive to me, because I like the small block package, but alot of people insist on big blocks. I like the small blocks because they are so much easier to work on, and I like keeping everything stock.
