We lived about 20 mins from both the factories and I always preferred the checkmates.. I bought my first checkmate from kunkels in Ontario oh. They've done about everything you could do with a checkmate boat. They both said the 350s were a nice package

No.. Hasn't sent any picture s yet.. I like the 280s a lot. I just think the 283 or longer would be a little better ride? Lake Erie seems to be rough about 80% of the time. I like the zt 330!! There is one for sale in Texas that looks really clean but they are asking close to 70k for it. Out of my price range.

I don't want to go bigger than 28 or 29 because I don't want to buy a bigger truck. I used to boat in Lake ontario with a 24 outlaw, and always felt safe I don't go out when the waves are over 4 foot though., just getting older, and that size seems like a good compromise. but in that size boat, I either want one big block, or 2 small blocks.

We may end up rack storing again.. The ramps get really stressful sometimes. But yeah.. There are a lot of cost getting into the bigger boats, like you mention a tow vehicle.. Plus after detailing a 28' boat I've, ive had enough.. Ha

That boat has been for sale for at least 5 years. If you are getting a 28 stick with a single with a minimum of a 500hp. Much easier to work on and similar speed to a twin. My buddy has a 29 warlock with an 800 if you want to go fast in rough water
