No worries, my dad and I share names, I know what ya ment for pics( glass work im doing, I assume??) I wll try to get some up loaded. He might not have read it from where I posted.. Yes that was with out the sand, was 77-78 on gps, was with a 28p B1 prop( needed more, still does with the 30p) You could hear it getting the rev limiter.. There are 3 total on my vids for the boat, one cockpit view. Looking for the 1.32 alpha uper now since they were supposidly for BBC's and had HD gears in it.. Its a HOT SOB today, the epoxy is setting way to fast, have to get back on it once it cools down..

Looks and feels like Chris Craft was really afraid of blow over on these little 202s, i think it has more to do with in the day they didnt test to the extreme as most manufactures do today, and also they didnt understand trim as we do today, and some corperate big wig didnt know how to drive a boat or read the water like they should know how running any boat!
I would be more afraid of wave piercing with nose dive at higher speeds, with not having good trim adjustment, still testing looking for the boats sweet spot! (for my type of boating).
With having a big block and DP I would have thought the added weight and strong thrust with the DP would have balanced out the bow sand, but thats not the case, and i always run a full tank of fuel, so i need to check light load also! Could make a big differance!
On your runs did you have full fuel?
Yeah pics of structure would be helpful and if you need any advise on structure and material types i may be able to help. you out!

im thinkin mine has the sand in it still as it likes to ride nice and level which was a little strange for the first few trips but it is a smooth ride even over nasty tugboat waves. im runnin a 383 supercharged pushin around 600hp im told by the previous owner. got it up to 70 before the girlfriend started yellin at me! im interested in how it will perform with less sand. puttin up pics isnt easy on this site

Just touching 80 with my 222. Hoping to break beyond it this season (new custom roller from Marine Kinetics plus some other mods).
I must say... THIS THREAD IS WORTHLESS WITHOUT PICS!!!
Document, Document, Document!
The 202 and 222 have a very faithful following. We will be hanging on your every word and photo.
Just asking a question... are our boats based off of a mold of something else? I'm trying to figure out some history on our boats, and a basis for hull design would be great.
For what it's worth... I love this boat with exception of the available cockpit space. I'd love it with a little more of a conventional seating arrangement (I have a Mrs. TomZ and three babies). I know, I know, that's part of the allure, but it's still annoying. I think the engine management suffers due to the enclosed space.

Well slow but surley I am goign to get a few pics up, LOL Found more gremlines. Turns out there are a few spots in the transom that is rotted out also
not completely through, but through the 1 piece of plywood. Looks as it it has been there and working after I replaced the rear section a few years back. The areas of where the main 2 stringers are glassed into the transom, sucked water up into the area around them, has rotted it. So now I am faced with repairing that.. God i love boats. This will set me back a few days for sure. But i was able to button up the left side.. Again pics will be up. Like I said earlier, these stringers are far from decent in my eyes from the fact, no QC at all..
