This is a great picture of inbetween's boat. Their lauch day was this past Saturday, unfortunately not without problems. Adam/Beth, the boat looks awesome and you both should be proud!

Thanks for the picture! Although some things did not go well, we had a blast Saturday. Glad to be in our own boat even if it was only a couple of miles. Beth and I would like to thank everyone who waited for us while we were working out some electrical problems. It was a wonderful sight to see the group of boats when we finally hit the lake. These people, even some we don't know, are a great bunch we're proud to call friends. Hope to be back on the water next weekend.

first off the boat looks great!!! second, i love the fairing instead of the windshield. i want to do something of the same with my 312. i went back to the first page and read this...(The wood is the basic shape that is underbuilt. The wood will be prepped with a mold release, a layer of cloth, layer of 1/2" balsa with 2 more layers of cloth on the outside. Inside will be the same except I'm only laying 1 layer of cloth vs 2. Once that is all laid up and everything is finished off, I wil bond the windscreen to the gunnel and across the bow with plexus.) i'm a little confused can you re-explain how you did this? maybe i'm not awake enough yet, if so i'm sorry.

I'll have Rob explain how he did this marin. He's returning from NC tonight but I'll let him know you'd like to know how he did this.

The windscreen really updates the look of the boat.

Can you post a close up of your engine compartment vents? I'd like to update mine from the chrome louvered ones. I think they look dated. Did you buy something and fit them in or were they custom made?

We custom made them ourselves out of a styrofoam shaped piece at the local craft store, cut it in half, taped it to a board and then placed pieces of resin/fiberglass over that several times and popped it off that to make the mold.

I'll try to get some better pics of it. If you want details on how to do that (we got rid of the chrome vents too) give Rob a call 440.413.3589 is his cell.

Hi guys. Rob mentioned you may want some orange vinyl, how much did you want? We have a little left. We will be in your neighborhood tomorrow and could bring it with us.

Adam

We're both off from work so we'll be running around getting things ready for Port Stanley. We'd like what you have and you could just place it in front of the van which will be in the driveway. It should be ok there.

Thanks a lot for the offer!

Thank you very much :D

We have had a lot of people thinking that it's new. People are really surprised when they find out it's an '88!

Sorry about that marin. We purchased a business on July 1 and life has been a little out of control the last few months. If you can, give Rob a call on his cell 440.413.3589 if that's possible and discuss it with him. He hasn't been on OSO for a few months but I know he would be able to talk to you by phone. If you need him to call you just PM us your number and I'll pass it along to him.

Sweetie your ears must have been burning to post on this thread because Rob and I were just talking about you on Sunday! He asked if you had seen the gauges yet and I told him I haven't seen you on here. He's going to call and say hi hopefully soon. He wants to catch up and see how things are and when things slow down he will.

Oh, you're an old married man now!!! How was the wedding and honeymoon???? You never know Fionn, we may take you up on that invite to visit this winter. Rob needs some serious time away.

Keep in touch and thanks for the post. Really good to see you.

Here are pics of the motors when we put them in back in May. I'm embarrassed to say I don't think I have any pics of the engine compartment itself, but we'll see what we can do sometime this late winter/early spring. Same with the cabin.

This summer we put a bed insert in our cabin. We use to sleep in the v-berth which as just too cramped. We ended up building an insert out of foam and vinyl, added some metal strips to each side and they just slide under each side of the couches. we now have a bed a little larger than a queen to sleep in. It's wonderful!!!!!!!!
