Wow that looks great, I love the oval. What is that square panel in the last pick?

Good eye. I wondered if anyone would ask.

We are removing the compass out of the dash. That's a panel that he built to cover up the hole left behind. He put the script low on the panel so we could put a radio remote or something else there later if needed.

The panel is also the same color the dash panel will be.

Looks awesome Buck. Loved the paint job on that bullet. Going to look real nice when done. Love the way the extended cig oval looks on there. What are the dimensions of the oval?

carter38 01-18-2014 08:22 PM

It's about 17x48

I can't remember what size he said he uses for them. I was thinking the width was at least 36" if not more. I just sent him a message asking the size. I'll reply when he answers.

Here's a before and after shot of the logos. The old ones were pretty narrow and stubby looking.

Just got home from dropping mine off at Vincent's Buck. He was working on the back end of your Bullet when the wife and I walked in. Looking like a first class job, nice looking Cig.:drink:

Awesome. Thank you for the update. I was wondering when your boat was going to him for some love.

buck183 01-22-2014 06:07 PM

Question for you ladies. Do you want me to continue to post update pics of our Bullet project on this thread, or start a new thread dedicated to it only?

Buck

caseyh 01-22-2014 06:39 PM

New one. That way your boat/progress can be seen and not hijacked by the general bullet thread.

Boat is Looking good by the way.

carter38 01-23-2014 08:02 AM

New one.

Hollowpoint 01-23-2014 11:07 AM

New one please.

buck183 01-23-2014 11:43 AM

The tribe has spoken. I'll try and get one up later tonight.

Vincent had another P29 in there lately, right?

Yes he did. I believe it's Kevin's boat. The one Carter redid last winter. If you look closely in one of the latest pics I posted in my build thread you will see it next to our Bullet.

hatter 02-11-2014 06:50 AM

Welcome 88Bullet,
IMO, you now own the best rough water boat in the 30' range. Your speeds may not be as fast as newer hulls, but in exchange, you get a sweet ride, and a nice cabin to boot. You may have already read this previously, but there were 68 bullets made from 1988 until the mid 90's. If you need Cig parts, I've always had luck with Lipship Marine, but Cig parts in general are pretty expensive. Let me know if you need a manual for your new toy and I'll send a copy.

Show us some pics soon!

I am looking for a manual. Can it be emailed?

yschmidt 02-11-2014 09:53 PM

I'm sure it could be if someone knew where to email it.

hatter 02-12-2014 08:46 AM

[email protected] I sure would appreciate any help that you can give me. Thanks

Hatter, I'm currently out of country with no access to my computer until next week. Thanks to all that can help and send him a manual. Hatter, if you still need it next week, PM me.

Congrats on owning a NUMBER 1 !

Talk to me about this Bullet. I'm sure it's probably in this thread somewhere. Looks clean and nicely done. Don't know if I'm crazy about the windless or not. The windscreens, not so much.

If I comment about the Bimini I'd be throwing rocks in a glass house. :)

Looks clean but we need better pictures of the engine hatch/sunpad before any conclusions can be made. :D
