Hi eightsecmopar, I also own an 88 Bullet in Switzerland. I like your new seats and upholstery. Where did you get these, please?

eightsecmopar 04-06-2015 07:10 PM

Thanks....They were done by Mick's custom upholstery in Missouri.
Post some pictures of your Bullet, would like to see it.

Hi Wayne, what's your speeds, drives and prop selection with these 570hp?

I believe Waynes boat runs high 70's almost 80. I had a Bullet that ran 80 with 575 a side. Bravo drives with Bravo1 28pitch lab finished props

caseyh 10-14-2016 12:20 PM

I am very interested in this also. whats the fastest bravo and TRS bullet?

carter38 10-14-2016 11:26 PM

Casey's old blue bullet with the blower motors in it by Brad Smith ran very well low 80's.

TELLefant 10-20-2016 03:57 AM

We tried with 28pitch lab finished props, Bravo 1 drive, +590hp and couldn't get more than 4500-4600 rpm. That made around 68 mph... We now limited the rpm's to 4200 for running the engine in only. It does good 60mph with 4000 rpm. Next week we will change to 26pitch lab finished Bravo 1 (4 blades) and see what happens... On the dyno we had these 590 - 600 hp with around 5200-5300 rpm. So, the prob is definitely to big to get these hp's comming up. I'll keep you updated... Cheers!

I think your elevation definitely had something to do with your outcome.

Sorry haven't posted sooner, been using the camper alot this summer and built a new garage (never used the boat once and full of fuel, now I have to winterize it) The motors dynoed at 572hp (using a single 800 carb, 86/94 jets if I remember), I am running used B1 26p props (never had them labbed or checked) with a bravo 1.5. My WOT is 5000-5300 approx. (tachs started bouncing around at high rpm, put resistor plugs in this season but never ran the boat) I am running low to mid 70's as is. I have a pair of 420 blowers that I would like to swap out over the winter, but I also have to install the dog dishes in the hatch for clearance. No transom notch by the way.

315duramax 10-21-2016 05:57 PM

there was a bravo bullet in jersey a few weeks ago.. what happened to it?

TELLefant 10-24-2016 02:03 PM

Thanks for your update, Wayne. We tested the same equipment as mentioned above today but Bravo 1 with 26 pitch lab finished (4 blades) prop instead of the 28 lab finished. We couldn't believe it: same speed (68mph) with 4900 rpms max. in fresh water and the Bullet started jumping at top speed. Okay, these were not brand new probs, maybe a bit worn out already but anyway we felt a bit disapointed with all these horspower (590+). On the dyno we had these 590 - 600 hp with around 5200-5300 rpm. Any ideas or experiences with similar issues...? Thanks.

I forgot to mention: we have to run with closed exhaust systems over here. What do you think about -2 or -3 inch shorties to get more speed? This Bullet doesn't have the notch.

division1 11-23-2016 11:42 AM

I had a bullet just got ride of it for a topgun but went threw all the same issues no notch had 500hp efi and boat went 68 with a 24 and a 26 prop we had a raised x of two inches it def helps but not a hole lot speed wise but boat did ride better

caseyh 11-23-2016 12:01 PM

put a notch :)

I also thought about that but don't have a notched Bullet here to measure and compare. It's a bit risky to just cut a piece out... :-/

hello all.
I'm in Maryland.
ive loved cigarette boats from when I was a kid til now. ive owned a lot of boats. fast vee bottoms, and cats. I just sold my eliminator Daytona.
I really like the 31 bullet. its a great size for where I run, to where the 35 is just to big of a boat.
Ive been on the internet just about everyday for a long while just looking at boats. lately ive been zeroed in on the bullet. most the ones I have found are either trashed and need a total overhull.
Does anyone here know of a 31 bullet that has been re-done that is in pretty GREAT shape for sale or know if one can be bought?
I'm a anal clean freak...lol...
Now, I know with the age of these boats they aren't going to be in the shape of a 2016 boat. but there has to people out there like me that actually take care of their investments. plus most of them that are out there, have been re-done from front to back
please if anyone has a lead or if you want to poss. sell your 31...please let me know..
thank you.

kreed 08-28-2018 08:48 AM

A friend of mine wants one...considering selling?

inspiron 08-28-2018 10:46 AM

Wasn't considering..... Just love the boat. We have a 2004 38 Donzi XR down in Lauderdale and I can clearly tell you I like the Bullet better. Just a sharp, classic I'm always so proud to wipe down each time I use it. Take a look at this pic.... should give you a laugh.... Also a shot of the engines....

Just for laughs, what would your buddy offer? https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...f914f5b41b.jpg
