when plugged into shore power if the battery switches are in the off position do the batteries still charge? I was suprised that even with them off the cabin door and engine hatch still have power unlike in my motorhome the switches completely disconnect them.

the engine hatch and the door will have power if you have the main key on and the batterys turned off, to totally shut it down, batteeries should be off and main key out.

There are Breakers in the cabin to kill the power to the hatch.
Not sure on the cabin door....I never had that fancy stuff !

Yes,the batteries will still charge in the off position.As a matter of fact,thats probably the best way to charge them.
