It rolled and bobbed for a bit...Though I heard it was pulled quick, pickled and fixed immediatley by those that know how. I saw it in KW in 07. Looked nice but had some primer on the side from damage where it rolled. But no biggie.

I was in it when it was brand new. 6 of us on board ran over 90. This little Skater couldn't pass us!:drink:

I have nothing against Sterling. I just feel comfortable with what I know, and I know Zul. I wouldn't rule out Sterling. I know OL used to use them alot before Merc developed their big power. As a matter of fact, Phil had a Sterling Glad years ago, and I considered it.

Sterlings!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

$169k with a history?

Hmm, it's my favorite but Blumes rules at the other price.

And it's like my 3rd favorite. :ernaehrung004:

cigracing1 12-05-2008 09:28 AM

I think the 2004 boat needs to spend the money and be put in the classifieds before we go any further.

You got to pay to play!

this one 110

on in cicinati last spring 120

the 750 zul side by side in the classifieds was down to 119,000and did not sell before the broker raised it again

the blue one in the classifieds was traded in for 155k 3 years ago and new owner want 179k

and the first stagger boat is ask 155k when it was 200k new

cigracing1 12-05-2008 11:53 AM

Well, even using the low number you have for the 2003, a year model has always been worth a minimun of 10%, so 2 years would be worth $22,200.00 and a 2005 Myco aluminum, powdercoated black, drive guard, tool box and spare tire should be worth a minimun of $10,000.00. So simply math should be $143,200.00...........plus the Sterlings are a helluva upgrade when you buy them. Plus this boat is loaded with options!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cash Bar 12-05-2008 12:09 PM

The more y'all argue about the value the longer Blume's boat stays available.

Come on commission checks...... :drink:

You are right about the majority of Gladiators. But , out of all of them, there is only a handful that I would consider nice. And, you should not even consider that 750 side by side, saltwater submerged boat when averaging values. That boat is kind of a freak . Blooms boat is the real deal and priced right. And, there are a few other boats that are exceptional, that are well worth more than low 100,s. Maybe closer to the 150,s. You should have stepped up and bought Phils 03 because the list of nice Gladiators is shrinking rapidly.

pm203.............your right and thanks for all the kind things you have said about the boat. In a real market this boat should sell for $165,000.00+. But, the market is soft, it always is between Thanksgiving and Christmas. After the first of the year prices will go up, they always do and the closer to Summer we get the higher prices will go and so will this one.

mattdillon 12-05-2008 01:05 PM

first of the year and boat shows are not that far away

cigracing1 12-05-2008 01:15 PM

So what does that have to do with it?

dreamer.......... Go down on Collins Ave during the Miami show!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There is more to this boat market than go fast boats and there will be some buyers at all the shows.

mattdillon 12-05-2008 02:45 PM

From what I see is that there are two boats for sell. One has a history and different motors. Dont know why its getting so crazy on these boats. blume has had his for a while and not selling, it happens. times are crazy, but this is the slow part of the year. what i was saying about the BOAT SHOWS AND FIRST OF THE YEAR was that its not that far away. Unless you have to dump the boat whats 2 or 3 more months to wait and see if its going to pick up. And there should be more buyer if you do need to dump it at the time. but if a person wants or is trying to sell a boat and puts a price on it, its their boat they can take a offer or not. It could be a stupied price but its still their boat and their call.

dreamer 12-05-2008 03:31 PM

blumes will sell shortly... he has gotten the word out in its a fine piece...

im refering to people thinking that the days of 5% depreciation per year on cigs is still alive and well.... its not

525s were 200-225k new(some early ones were 190k)

five years later they r not 150k boats... and the examples i gave r the market in the last six months... now what r they today? mint or not

dreamer 12-05-2008 03:34 PM

Tell him to write you a deposit check on $135K subject to replacing the motors. I'm sure you can come up with some 100 hr 525's pretty cheap. Put the sterlings in the classifieds and recover the cost.

That's your opinion and you are entitled to it. And for the most part you are right. But guess what? At your price, you are still boatless.
