p.s. otis you cannot compare your 1993 gun to a 2003 glad with your above "ive owned both" statement.......... although its true that you have owned both, you cant compare a 1993 gun to a 2003 glad, your not comparing apples with apples

staggered 39 will eat all these rides up, but i dont have th kind of coin right now....

You are right about a new 39 w/700,s and the new drives. However, as far as a t/s Gun versus a Glad, there is no way a Gun will eat up a Glad. In fact, one of my buddys (multiple Gun owner) was shocked after riding in the Glad. He was very impressed with the ride. And, why should a Gun ride better? They are practically the same length, same style hull, even though the Glad steps are slightly different from 03 and on. Granted, the Gun is heavier, but the Glad is staggered. Maybe the Gun rides better and maybe it doesn't. But, eating it up, I don't think so.

stecz20 your still gay, and i miss you buddy!! but back to the question at hand, a glad vs a top gun in 5 footers, if i had the coin for either, i would pick the TG all day long....... for about 100 reasons, but 1 of them being that it rides better in the rough...

but thats just me, i feel a little more wave crushin in the TG, but either way you go they are both bad boys

as far as eat up goes that might have been a little much, although i still think a TG would eat up the glad, even if it didnt, at the end of a long run in 3-5 footers like the questions asked, youd be alot better off (and have alot less beer spilled on you) in a TG

I owned and raced both a 2000 TS Top Gun and a 2002 Gladiator (both with 500EFI/Bravo XRs) and I think that they are nearly identical. Both boats handled really well and both boats were impressive when the water got nasty. As for the 39 being any better than the Gladiator or the 38, we'll find out this summer. I have a deal pending on a 39 and we should be doing the sea trial this coming week. I honestly expect it to be about the same though.
