kevin has hinted he's looking at a R/R or a Skater. You should throw him an offer and see if he bites.

I bought a boat a few months back. I feel I paid a fair price to all involved. I got irritated when I was looking at other boats and they bashed my price of my trade. However wanted full price on theirs. These people are still sitting on their boats. The market is not there for boat sales. However I believe for the most part you get what you pay for.

I remember traveling to see a boat that is listed on here and the owner said it was turn key and I could sea trial it if I would like. Got there and one engine had no oil on dip stick and the other low. Shroud for drive line was busted and rubing. A lot of other little things broke. Then I remember spinning the #6 drives and there was no resistance. First time I spun a #6 and was told that was becasue it's a #6. Well it may have been a #6 but it was because it didn't have any drive lube in it. Called owner offered more then a fair offer and he countered with a rediculus offer. No deal and it was a great decision. Looking back the boat would have been nothing but trouble. I hope no one buys a boat off this guy because he has no idea about High performance boats other then how to beat the crap out of them.

The deals out there will likely be the problem boats in my opinion.

Very rarely will you get a pristine, above average boat for a bargain price. While I agree that all boat prices have dropped, the top percentage of the nice stuff will still command significant more $$ than your average used boat. As they say, "you get what you pay for ". Don't forget, there will always be a majority of junk to average quality boats available to bargain hunters. If you want quality, you still have to step up. And with falling prices, todays stepping up price is still a bargain for the right boat when compared to prices of the past.
