generally its broken down like this

CRT24045L586
crt is cigarette racing team
24 length of boat
045 should be production number
L not sure
586 is month and year...

unless they went with a diff numbering system for the firefox.
L is for December....So his boat was built in Dec of 85 and was a 86 model.
