Bow rail
I've tripped on the bow rail a couple times (center mounted) and almost fell off the boat. Maybe I'm just a klutz but I think it's more of a hazard. Randy

Good luck on the project I've done a few it's fun but alot of time. I would do the bildge white its easy to keep clean and if you do get a leak it's easy to spot.

I've posted these before. Figured I would use this as the official progress thread.
Old transom:
New transom:
New drives - (not my image):
Next is to detail bilge, paint white and organze the rigging, determine what to replace and what to rebuild (pumps, fuel lines, etc.)

Yes, I knew this before I aquired the project. So it was no surprise. This boat should be like brand new when it's completed. Going to start stripping it down to the bare hull in the next couple weeks. I should have a nice sound and safe boat when it's all done.
Is this bad? Maybe just a little soggy.........

I am actually redoing mine....that's a lot of time (and money...)
But as we have very rough water here I have decided to reinforce all the boat structure (add 2 bulkheads and 6 bones) underneath the liner.
Yes the man has remove all the liner in slices....
