I replaced my old "pancake" lights mounted on the front bilge bulkhead with LED truck tail lights and use the existing switch.

If I didn't have such a unique set up, I would use the Optx Marine lights like on Speed Racer.

Take your pick:

The only difference I see with the Ebay ones compared to the $100 strips I bought is the 3M double sided foam tape. The tape is much better on the more expensive ones. I added the better 3M tape from Home Depot to the Ebay lights.

FYI: 5050`s are going to be brighter than 2538`s

Drock, The kit comes with 4 sealed tubes for under car installation. 2 long ones for the sides & 2 short ones for front & rear. I mounted the short ones on the side & long ones front & rear. The controller next to my battery charger & wired to a battery for now. the expansion kit plugs in to the controller & is meant for under the dash on a car. I wire tyed the tubes to the harnesses already in the boat. Randy

I have white LED's in the cabin, engine compartment, and cockpit. Purchased them from Phil.
