Awesome job your doing! Curious how you polished the intake valley and bottom end? Nice job on the blower rebuilds too makes me want to do mine how much do you have into bearings, seals, etc

The lifter valley is a long boring job and does not really do anything... It will help oil return back to the pan a little faster but... If you have some time to kill it is not hard.

The bottom is pretty important to make sure you get any loose casting flash off the block, I have actually lost an engine from casting slag getting worked into the piston skirt causing that piston to overheat...... It was on a dyno, we notice the BSFC numbers shoot way up and stopped the pull instantly. When we tore it down that is what we found.

Granted this was a 9000rpm aluminum rod race engine.... But I am anal about stuff like that especially since it has happened to me before.

I think I had about $450 total for both blowers with bearings, couplers, seals, grease, oil

Went through the Chillers today (1 new end cap on the right)

One end cap was damaged... Must have had a chip in the Anodizing.

Yeah I have been posting this on the LSCR website too!!! We have family and friends in Michigan, so we are trying to have the boat ready to go on the Jobbie Nooner run with you all!!

I booked the Room & Slip! We are planning on being there.... As long as the boat cooperates! :lolhit:
